Tips¶
As an Adept, enjoy a brief vacation at Tortuga Archipelago as you bask in the sun, while slaughtering a bunch of endangered turtles and crocodiles. Plus a few minor detours…
Nautilus Cave can be found near the middle of the archipelago, while the Subterranean Lake is along the south of Drysand Desert.
Mt. Snowpeak Summit should be self-explanatory, but you can skip straight to the summit from the base by speaking to the Guide Paladin just before the Mt. Snowpeak entrance.
Following the tricky Apprentice Challenge that required you to slay 10 monsters with your Cross-Cut technique, you’re now tasked with slaying 10 monsters with Hurricane , which requires you to press the A button 5 times. Oh joy…
The concept for this Challenge is the same, but obviously trickier because the chain of attacks just got longer, meaning more chance of you missing or getting interrupted.
Additionally, the timing is slightly different as your 5th button press comes almost immediately after the 4th, just as the animation for Cross-Cut begins.
Once your vacation is over, you have to start thinking about those bosses…
Silverfang , atop Mt. Snowpeak, will probably be your toughest challenge yet. Before attempting the battle, you may wish to equip the Shell Armour set to boost your Water Resistance .
This tough dino has three main attacks: bite, tail swipe and ice breath. This battle is probably easiest if you stay close and circle around frequently.
Silverfang’s ice breath is easily evaded by hugging its body, but be warned that it may immediately follow with its tail swipe.
Behemoth is a formidable beast too; you definitely want to bring along strong allies such as Odin for this battle. Unlike against Silverfang, sticking close probably isn’t recommend due to the Behemoth’s dark shockwave, which it uses from time to time.
Your best bet is to circle around, then wait for it to use its frontal pound, bite or dark breath, before giving it a few swipes with your greatsword. If you have allies as decoys, it should be much easier to avoid the Behemoth’s attacks.
