Tips¶
How does it feel like to be a Master? After the celebrations are over and if you’re not retiring, you’ll find there are still plenty more trees for you to cut down, including some rather stubborn boss types.
To find Mangrove Trees, head for the south-west corner of Tortuga Archipelago and cross the highland path to reach the Deepsea Cave . The Great Mangrove can appear along the north side (if you head north-west from the entrance) or the south side (to the left of the Jellking).
Starry Trees, meanwhile, are unique to Cacto Cove , a curious island off the coast of Al Maajik. After you’ve completed the Al Maajik story quest and recruited Magnificus, head to the south bank of the Al Maajik Outskirts and speak to the ferryman to hitch a ride.
Once there, enjoy some of the best-looking trees in the game, so pretty you almost don’t want to cut down down… Oh well, they’ll grow back anyway! To find the Great Starry Tree , head up to the highland area, accessible towards the west side of the beach.
For the boss trees, you’ve first got the Sacred Wind Tree , which grows on a highland along the south side of Drysand Desert, between the path to the Subterranean Lake and the oasis campsite.
Next, there’s the awesome-looking Sinister Tree , found to the west of the Deep Elderwood. This one is significantly harder, but try your best.
A good method at this stage: after locating the sweet spot, use your X supercharged attack to build up your Special Skill gauge, then unleash your Lumberjack’s Spirit when it’s fully charged (and the sweet spot hasn’t moved).
Without high damage, even your Lumberjack’s Spirit will fall short, so buy or craft a new axe if necessary. As a Master, you can buy the Goddess’s Axe from the Woodcutter store in Elderwood Village. Otherwise, make sure your Strength is up to snuff.
