Tips¶
The Challenges have increased in number, but you should be getting familiar with the themes by now. The only difference is that you’re asked to spend time in two locations instead of one.
So enjoy a little fun in the sun as you cut down Palm Trees in Tortuga Archipelago and try not to get burnt by the sun when you’re hunting for Sugar Trees in the Drysand Desert.
Double the trees means double the Elder Logs; all we can say is “good luck”. Actually, if you’re struggling to find enough Elder Logs, consider raising your Luck stat. Otherwise, keep landing those “Excellent!” finishing hits to increase your prize pool.
If you’re looking for the Great Palm Tree , try the north-east corner (just before Phineas’s hot air balloon) or along the highland path to the Deepsea Cave towards the south-west.
Meanwhile the Great Sugar Tree , to our knowledge, always appears to the right of the entrance to the Subterranean Lake, towards the south-west of the desert.
Finally, the Great Elderwood Tree is situated in the north-east corner of the Elderwood. Beware that the Earth Wraith spawns here at night, but it’s not aggressive so you’re in no danger as long as you don’t pick a fight.
This big floating tree is another boss tree, so be careful of the usual tricks: slowly recovering its own HP and moving its sweet spot position after several hits. Don’t forget to make use of your Axe-copter special skill too.
If you haven’t been keeping up with your axe upgrades, now’s the time to get spending or crafting. The best axe you can buy at Al Maajik is the Sugar Axe , available from the General Goods or Wood and Timber store.
