Tips

Even though you’re a Fledgling, there are a fair amount of things you must make.

Before you return to the workshop, review your recipes and devise a shopping list of all the materials you’re missing. To do so, open the Menu, go to Licenses and then press the Y button after selecting the Tailor license.

At this very early stage, most of the materials can be purchased from The Buttonhook, which is the cloth shop in the Castele Artisans’ District.

If you prefer doing field work, Dandelion Puffs can be plucked from the white flowers growing around Castele, while Straw Thread drops from the Catterpillos in the East Grassy Plains.

Animal Hide and Leather String are sold by the wood and leather merchant instead; the former can also be looted from a Red Wolf or Coyote prowling the East Grassy Plains (more common during the night).

For Castele Blooms , look for the yellow flowers growing around Castele or buy them in bulk from Material Wonders. Greenbells and Redbells , meanwhile, aren’t sold anywhere nearby, but can be found growing around Castele and the East Grassy Plains, respectively.

Always make “Materials” first, because everything else needs them.

Having gathered all the materials you need, you’ll find the crafting isn’t much more complex than what you did as a Novice, as you are essentially making the same level of items.

Do pay more attention during the “ High Level “ recipes, which are denoted in the top-right corner, under where it says “Fledgling Recipe”. These recipes require slightly more steps and a slightly higher Sewing stat, but are otherwise made in the same manner.

Finally, when asked to make “ high-quality “ items, your chances are higher if you complete the item in a reasonable timeframe; the more “Nice!” and “Great!“s you see, the better. This will require speed, a high skill level in your relevant field of tailoring and a pinch of Luck.
