It’s not too often this happens, but the European and North American versions of Fantasy Life feature slightly different names and dialogue .
For instance, your butterfly companion is “Flutter” in the European version, while North American players will know her as “Butterfly”. Her personality is different between the two versions too; Flutter is more ditzy, while Butterfly is more cynical.
It’s not just characters either, as the Magician Life is known as the “Wizard” Life across the Atlantic. Meanwhile, the God and God-in-Training ranks have been renamed to “Creator” and “Demi-Creator” for North American audiences.
Despite these changes, the core game remains the same and the story is unchanged. So all this means is that when you’re reading our strategy guide, you may notice different names and terminology compared to what you see in your game.
This is because our guide and screenshots are based off the European version of the game and it’s not viable for us to create another copy of the guide based off the North American version. If you are playing the North American version, we apologise for any inconvenience.
