Tips¶
The training you must do to become a God Miner is almost laughably straight-forward.
The Dark Ore and Dark Stone you’re looking for can be found towards the south-east of the Rocky Hill Shrine. Be careful as a bunch of Flame Wisps and a Blazine are aggressively staking their turf there.
For the Chalk Ore and Divine Stone, head for the north-west corner of the Central Grasslands, between the entrance to the Forest Shrine and the entrance to the Ancient Tower. Fortunately, no monsters will bother you here.
Now the deposits on Origin Island are extremely durable, but if you’ve gotten this far, you should be able to cause a few dents–at least enough to crack the non-boss deposits.
Of note, the Dark Ore deposits are fantastic for making money and gaining experience. You can even run towards the settlement towards the west of the Rocky Hill Shrine and sleep in the make-shift inn to quickly respawn the deposits.
When you need to mine the two boss deposits, this is when things can get tough. If the number of Stars and order wasn’t a clue, the Dark Stone is the weaker of the two bosses, so start with that first, before moving onto the Divine Stone .
If you’re barely causing a scratch, consider revising your stats by visiting the Tome of Shadows (or using the Demonic Mirror), especially now that you can reach 100 in each stat. To remind you, you should focus on Strength first, then Focus and Vitality.
Your Pick Axe is important too, so don’t hesitate to buy or (ideally) craft a better one to replace your old one, if it’s falling behind. Blacksmiths can add a Soul Stone(+) and, if they’re God Rank, a God material to really improve the Pick Axe’s power.
