Portrait Description
Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance Screenshot A character from Disgaea 4. Her official name is the Final Weapon, DESCO, short for Death/Extermination Submersible Combat Organism. She was designed to be a final boss, but was discarded as junk, and stored in a restricted area of Hades. She is working hard to become a final boss.

Battle

You will unlock Desco as a playable unit upon finishing the DLC episode called I, Girl Theater. First and foremost, Desco is a monster unit, so you will have to contend with the fact she has a bit less options than a humanoid character. Between the two weapon choices she has, Desco is much better with the ATK Monster weapon, and she has pretty good stat aptitudes across the board. Also, she is considered a “flying” unit, meaning she can go right through enemies. She’s not a bad monster unit, but Usalia is a better one, simply because of Usalia’s Overload.

Overload

Desco’s Overload is called Channel Azi Dahaka and it allows her to deathblow all weaker units within a 5 panel range. This isn’t too bad of an Overload, as long as you build up Desco to become powerful. There’s a few instances where it might be useful, like the Prinny mystery room in the Item World, to help clear some room. Outside of that, though, there are much better Overloads out there on other characters.

Evilities

Desco’s unique Evility is called Final Boss Setting and it increases her attack power by the number of ally units within two panels x10%. If you have a bunch of units out with Desco, this could provide a nice boost in her attack power, but you have to worry about friendly fire in the earlier portions of the game. Overall, though, it’s not a bad Evility. Final Boss Glare increases the attacking power of whoever has this Evility by 50% when giant. Now, going giant does give you some extra stats, but you lose all of your normal skills. This Evility would be great on Red Magnus, since he does retain his skills while going giant.

No Escape makes it so any adjacent enemies have their movement reduced to 1, so they basically can’t run away. While this is nice, its cost is pretty high, so you could use those slots on something better. The final common Evility is called Super Sis Legend, which increases the stats of Desco’s Magichanged weapon by 30% if she does it with a female unit. If you both build up Desco and use Magichange, this can be a great thing, but note that Desco changes into a sword, so you will probably want someone proficient in swords to utilize this. Of course, it is a bit expensive, though, at five slots, which can probably be used for better things.

Evility Slots Effect Req
Final Boss Setting Unique Increases attack by ally units within 2 panels x 10% Default
Final Boss Glare 2 Increases attack by 50% when giant 500 Mana
No Escape 5 Movement of adjacent enemies become 1 5000 Mana
Super Sis Legend 5 When Magichanging with a female unit, increases stats of weapon by 30% 30000 Mana
