This page details how to start and complete Dez and the Mother of Satan side quest at The Pier in Dead Island 2.
How to Start Dez and the Mother of Satan¶
To unlock this quest you’ll need to have completed Boz Makes a Bang. You’ll hear Hana on a radio again and this time she’ll ask you to locate Dez who’s gone off to the CDC Camp on the Pier. You can actually receive the radio call at any radio, so keep an ear out for Hana’s call!
Help Dez Defeat the Zombies¶
When you arrive at the CDC Camp on The Pier, you’ll find Dez atop the Dome Balcony. Before you can speak to her, you’ll need to defeat the horde of zombies in the camp. There’s a few Hazmat Zombies and Riot Gear Zombies but other than that you shouldn’t find it too difficult to deal with this crowd of zombies.
Use explosives to do AoE damage!
After defeating the enemies, speak to Dez and she’ll ask you to help her test out her grenade launcher. Whilst she’s exploding zombies from the balcony, you’ll need to deal with the stragglers. You and Dez should have no problem mopping up all these enemies - using a gun can be good for dealing with the enemies before they reach you!

Where to find the Quartermaster’s Records¶
After messing about with grenade launchers, Dez will ask you to find the “Mother of Satan” - an explosive chemical that she can weaponize! You’ll first need to head into the tent on your left. Continue through the tented corridor and you’ll spot a puddle of electric on the floor. Follow the wire outside and turn off the generator. You can now head back inside and grab the Quartermaster’s records on the desk that was previously blocked by electricity.

Return to the main CDC dome to search for Dez. When you arrive you’ll be faced with another fight!
How to Defeat Subject: Juliet¶
Subject Juliet is a voltaic screamer, so you’ll definitely want to steer clear of her scream. You might prefer to use guns and curveballs to keep your distance. There are other zombies around, so you’ll want to use AoE damage to deal with multiple zombies at once.

You’ve probably fought other voltaic screamers at this stage in the game so you shouldn’t find this fight too difficult. Once you’ve fought the zombies, speak to Dez on the balcony to finish the quest. You’ll earn 4,500 XP and a 
Superior Melee Electrocutor Mod. You’ll also earn the Go, !Bobcats! trophy!

For helping out all the !Bobcats, Hana will also reveal the location of a “Mystery Apocalypse Goodie-Box”. The chest can be found near Lotusville Mall.
