Shadow of the Erdtree is the first major DLC for Elden Ring and with that comes many items and secrets. On this page, we’ll take you through the necessary steps to finding the O Mother Gesture which is needed to reveal hidden areas around the Realm of Shadows.

Finding the O Mother Gesture¶

The O Mother Gesture can be found within Bonny Village, but you won’t be able to visit this place until you’ve reached the Scadu Altus region. You can do this by working your way through the Castle Ensis which is located to the Northeast of the Ellac Greatbridge. Unfortunately, Rellana, Twin Moon Knight stands between you and Scadu Atlus and we only recommend taking her on once you’ve got a fully upgraded weapon and have collected a few Scadutree Fragments, as this will give you a bit more of a fighting chance.

Once you’ve defeated Rellana, Twin Moon Knight you’ll be able to visit the Highroad Cross Site of Grace. Speak with both Needle Knight Leda and Hornsent until you’ve exhausted all of their dialogue and then head east until you reach the Moorth Ruins. From here, head west from the Site of Grace and enter the small archway, then jump down to the bottom via the horse.

Work your way through the tunnel and climb up the ladder to reach Bonny Village. Rest at the Site of Grace and then head down the hill until you reach a broken bridge. Jump across the gap to the right of the bridge and then head north until you come across a statue that is weirdly missing a head. Interact with it and the O Mother Gesture will become available!

O Mother Gesture Uses¶

Once the O Mother Gesture is in your possession, you’ll want to regularly make use of it, as it has a chance to open up secret pathways around the world which may lead to hidden bosses or treasures!
