Elden Ring’s DLC Shadow of the Erdtree brought a whole host of new items to the game, with one of them being the powerful Two-Handed Sword Talisman. Found in the Temple Town Ruins, equipping this will bolster your attacks when two-handing a single weapon. Read on where to find the Two-Handed Talisman, and what it does.
Getting to Temple Town Ruins¶
As the Two-Handed Talisman can be found in the Temple Town Ruins, that’s where you’ll need to go. However, if you’ve never been to the north side of the map, you may have difficulty getting there. You won’t be able to reach Temple Town Ruins until you’ve been through Castle Ensis as that’s how you reach Scadu Altus. Northeast of Castle Ensis is the Highroad Cross site of Grace. Unlock it if you haven’t already, and then follow the path north until you reach the intersection.
At the intersection, head southeast, and follow the path until you reach the Moorth Ruins site of Grace to the east. Go across the field until you reach a small lake in the northeast, and at the back of the lake, you’ll find a cave opening. Head through the cave until you reach the swamp area. The yellow-green liquid will poison you, so try to not stay in it too long. Alternatively, use your steed, as the poison won’t affect it. Proceed northwest through the swamp and you’ll soon reach Rauh Base. Go west/northwest to find the Rauh Base site of Grace and unlock it.
Follow the long stretch of land southwest while dealing with the giants, and you’ll find the Map: Rauh Ruins, and to the west of that, Temple Town Ruins. Before exploring the ruins, we suggest you unlock the site of Grace, which can be found by going through the ruins (on your steed) to the northwest.
How to Get the Two-Handed Sword Talisman¶
There’s not too much to find in the Temple Town Ruins, but there is a Scadutree Fragment (Map Marker), which you can get along the way to acquiring the Talisman. From the Temple Town Ruins site of Grace, follow the river south, where you’ll find a large building with seemingly no way inside. However, if you go around the ruins’ southern side, you can find a small hole in the wall.
Go through the hole and defeat the numerous shade enemies before heading up the stairs to the east. Follow these to the rooftops and go west until you can drop. Before you drop, stand at the northwestern edge of the rooftop and look down. Drop to the pillar below and head into the room to find the Scadutree Fragment. If you fail this jump, either try again or, with a bit of luck, use your Steed and double-jump to get up there.
After collecting the Scadutree Fragment, head back the way you came and drop to the floor below. Make your way up the stairs to the north, across the bridge, and the next set of stairs. At the top, you’ll find a Horned Warrior patrolling the area. Either defeat it or run past it up the stairs to the west. Follow these to the top to find a small building with a chest inside. Open the chest, and collect the talisman.
Two-Handed Sword Talisman Stats¶
The Two-Handed Sword Talisman will bolster your attacks by 15% in PvE and 10% in PvP while wielding a weapon with two hands. This includes normal, heavy, charged, guard counters, and jumping attacks. Now there are some stipulations with this talisman as you won’t get the effects of the buff with the following weapons/weapon types: Backhand Blades, Beast Claws, Bows, Claws, Duel-Wield, Great Bows, and Light Bows. Also, this won’t increase the damage to your Ash of Wars.
