Shadow of the Erdtree is the first major DLC for Elden Ring and with that comes many items, equipment and secrets. Thrusting Shields are one of the new weapon types you can find out in the Realm of Shadow and on this page, we’ll provide you with the locations of both of the weapons.

Every Thrusting Shield¶

Unfortunately, there are only two Thrusting Shields to be found in the world and they are the following: Dueling Shield and Carian Thrusting Shield. These are a good candidate for players that aren’t confident dodging attacks, as they allow you to be aggressive and defensive at the same time.

Head to the Storehouse, First Floor (left), to find the Dueling Shield (right)

The Dueling Shield can be found by starting at the Storehouse, First Floor Site of Grace in Shadow Keep, then head over to the opposite side of the room and head up the stairs until you reach the third floor. From here, head south and jump over the balcony to reach a platform on the left where the shield is located. The comes with an exclusive ability called Shield Strike which uses the shield to attack. If you haven’t reached Scadu Atlus then you can do so by working your way through Castle Ensis which is located to the northeast of Gravesite Plain.

Head to the Storehouse, Back Section (left), to find the Carian Thrusting Shield (right)

The Carian Thrusting Shield can be found by starting at the Church District Entrance Site of Grace and hop across the rooftops until you reach a pillar then take this up and drop down into two holes. Continue to follow the path along to the northwest and head through the second doorway on the left, then take the elevator up to the Storehouse, Back Section Site of Grace. Finally, head southwest to find the shield sitting on a corpse at the end of the path.
