The Blade of Mercy is a new talisman introduced with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring. You can find the talisman in the Scorched Ruins situated within the Gravesite Plain region. Talismans are useful equipment pieces in Elden Ring that boost various attributes when equipped, and this is one you won’t want to miss!
Blade of Mercy Location¶
As mentioned above, the Blade of Mercy Talisman is in the Scorched Ruins, but it can be easy to miss. From the Gravesite Plain site of grace, turn the camera to the northeast, and you’ll see the outline of the ruins (not the castle behind it). Jump on your steed and travel northeast until you reach the ruins, and follow the path north until you reach the archway. As you reach the archway, back up a little, and you’ll find some stairs leading up. Head up the stairs and go up the slope to the south.
At the top of the slope, go up the next set of stairs to your west and then through the door to the north. After exiting the doorway, head over the covered roof to your north, defeat the enemies (who will throw stuff at you), and head through the next doorway to the north. This time, head east over the covered rooftops after exiting the doorway, and you’ll find a door you can interact with at the top, to the north. Open the door to reveal a hidden chest containing the Blade of Mercy Talisman.
Blade of Mercy Explained¶
The Blade of Mercy Talisman will raise your attack power after every critical hit, which makes it great for most builds, especially Dex builds. Our limited testing suggests that this piece of gear will boost your attack power by around 20% for all weapons, lasting between 20 and 30 seconds. To enact a critical hit, you’ll need to backstab or riposte the enemy, and doing so will give you the buff.
Well, there you have it, the Blade of Mercy Talisman in all its glory. You can get this as soon as you reach the Realm of Shadows DLC area, and it’s extremely strong if you’re good at parrying or like to exploit the enemy’s slow turning speed where you can backstab them.
