The K-405 Droid is the first mini boss / elite enemy that you’ll encounter in Jedi Survivor. It will introduce you to some basic combat mechanics that you’ll be using throughout the game, so it’s a good time to test them out for a more extended fight. We’ll take you through the brief fight on this page.
The K-405 Droid on Coruscant in Jedi Survivor¶
The K-405 droid will begin the fight by attacking you with a red attack, which a type of attack that is usually only used by elite or boss enemies, and which cannot be parried or blocked. Instead, you’ll need to dodge out of the way by pressing 
on PS5 controllers, or 
on Xbox. The red attacks are basically powerful heavy attacks so if you’re hit by one, it’ll take more from your health than a regular attack.
The red attacks aren’t always the same, and in this case the K-405 droid will sometimes use one which sees it drawing backwards slowly before releasing the attack. However, it can also retaliate from a flurry of your own attacks with a swift red attack of its own. This will be more difficult to avoid so you’ll need to be ready to dodge at a moment’s notice.
Ultimately, this isn’t a tough fight but it serves as a useful introduction to how red attacks work in basic combat mechanics. At the end of the fight, once you’ve brought the K-405 droid down to its last bit of health, you should see a red circle on its torso, indicating that you can finish it off with a regular strike.
