Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! & Let's Go, Eevee!

Route 6

By
Vincent Lau

This is a nice, open route that’s good for catching lots of Growlithe or Vulpix.

Wild Pokémon

Pokémon Type Location Chance (%)
"Pidgeotto" IconPidgeotto Normal/Flying Tall grass 10
"Psyduck" IconPsyduck Water Tall grass 10
"Abra" IconAbra Psychic Tall grass 5
"Jigglypuff" IconJigglypuff Normal/Fairy Tall grass 15
"Growlithe" IconGrowlithe Fire Tall grass 20 (Let’s Go "Pikachu" IconPikachu)
"Vulpix" IconVulpix Fire Tall grass 20 (Let’s Go "Eevee" IconEevee)
"Rattata" IconRattata Normal Tall grass 20
"Pidgey" IconPidgey Normal/Flying Tall grass 20
"Chansey" IconChansey Normal Tall grass Rare spawn

This route is situated in-between Saffron City and Vermilion City. From the Underground Path entrance, head west to start with. There will be two young, adventurous trainers having a private conversation. Go ahead and eavesdrop if you’re feeling nosy.

Picnicker Nancy

Pokémon Level Type
Nidoran (female) 15 Poison
"Jigglypuff" IconJigglypuff 15 Normal/Fairy

You’ve probably bumped into a lot of Nidoran by now. So long as you keep your Grass and Fairy-types away, you should be all OK. "Jigglypuff" IconJigglypuff has a similar low threat level. Since X and Y, it’s gained the Fairy-type, so Poison-types are super-effective against it.

Camper Ricky

Pokémon Level Type
"Sandshrew" IconSandshrew 15 Ground
Nidoran (male) 15 Poison

Obviously, your Pikachu should be benched to begin with, since "Sandshrew" IconSandshrew is immune to Electric-type moves. Go with Grass or Water-types if you have those. Insert the same comment for Nidoran (female) for Nidoran (male).

Next, you can go north towards Saffron City’s southern gatehouse. But don’t bother actually going in, since the gatekeepers won’t let you through. Instead, go up the two ramps on either side of the gatehouse. Above the left one is a Super Potion, while above the right one is a hidden Rare Candy.

From here, go west from the Camper and Picnicker duo. You’ll find a Gentleman standing next to a Guard Spec.

Gentleman Edward

Pokémon Level Type
"Eevee" IconEevee 15 Normal

This posh chap has an "Eevee" IconEevee that you should be familiar with–either as your partner or as your rival’s partner. Regardless, it’s a pretty weak opponent in its unevolved state and without your partner’s buffed up stats. If you have a strong Fighting-type, let them wreak havoc.

Head back towards the underground entrance and continue south down along the route. Over on the right-hand side, there’s a Sailor who’s itching for a battle. If you’ve got other places you desperately need to be, you can always sneak behind him.

Sailor Elijah

Pokémon Level Type
"Tentacool" IconTentacool 16 Water/Poison

Because "Tentacool" IconTentacool is a Poison-type, Grass-types aren’t recommended, but they’re not discouraged either. If you have a solid Electric-type, go with that. In-between Pikachu and Buzzy Buzz, you should have no excuses! Otherwise, most non-Fire and Fairy-types should do OK.

Past Elijah, head west, along the south side of the pool of water. In the far corner is a Paralyze Heal waiting to be found and loved (and possibly used during the Electric Gym). Finally, head south along the path to find two trainers standing on both sides of the exit.

If you’re really good at positioning, you can actually walk through both, but you have to be exactly in the middle of the path. That’s quite an oversight on their behalf!

Picnicker Isabelle

Pokémon Level Type
"Charmander" IconCharmander 15 Fire

Nice, this Picnicker has a rare "Charmander" IconCharmander, unless she got hers from Oak. Since it’s a straightforward Fire-type, Water, Rock and Ground-types are the most preferable choices. A partner Eevee can use this opportunity to heal itself with Bouncy Bubble.

Camper Jeff

Pokémon Level Type
"Bellsprout" IconBellsprout 15 Grass/Poison

Poor Jeff has a slightly less interesting Pokémon. As you might know by now, Fire and Flying-types have the advantage here. Hopefully you have one of those. A partner Eevee with Sizzly Slide will suffice too.

Further south is Vermilion City. We hope you’re excited!
