There are a number of trophies/achievements in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii that require you to do a miscellaneous task that is part of the gameplay. Most of these involve the Sea Dog style of fighting, so it’s a good idea to stick to that until you unlock them, although there are plenty of opportunities to do fighting-related exploits throughout the game. One of the bigger things you’ll have in your arsenal is the ability to throw your cutlasses like boomerangs.
As you’re well aware, in order to do this maneuver, you need to switch over to your Sea Dog style, which is done by pressing down on the directional pad. Once in that style, simply hold down the normal attack button (Square/X) to have Majima toss the blades like a boomerang. This is actually one of the better attacks in your arsenal, since you can still attack normally while the swords are out. The only thing that matters for this trophy/achievement is using the attack.

The description for this says to use the cutlass boomerang on enemies a total of 100 times. To break this down a little more, you need to make sure you hit the enemies with the maneuver for it to count. It doesn’t matter how many enemies you hit with it, but rather how many times you you do it overall. So, if you hit 5 enemies in a single use, it will still count as only one use of it. That means you just need to do this in 100 different fights, but that shouldn’t be a problem considering the attack is a good one to use.
While you can pretty much do this all throughout the game, since you gain the Sea Dog style pretty early and the cutlass boomerang is available at the same time, it might be better to just wait until you unlock the Pirates’ Coliseum. There are matches in there that just involve fighting groups of enemies, so you don’t have to run around and pick fights with random enemies.
