Trophy and Achievement Roadmap - Pirate Yakuza

The Like a Dragon series have had numerous spinoff titles, with the latest being Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. While the games aren’t particularly all too difficult, the trophies/achievements in them can be quite hard, due to requiring you to do a little bit of everything. However, the recent games have been a little more laxed on the trophies/achievements, making it much easier to get all of them.

As a smaller spinoff title, Pirate Yakuza shouldn’t take too long for all trophies/achievements.

Missable Trophies or Achievements?

Thankfully, there are no missable trophies or achievements in Pirate Yakuza, so you don’t have to fret on following any guides, if you like to play completely blind. There isn’t really any missable content at all, so you don’t have to fret about missing anything at all in your playthrough.

Difficulty Trophies or Achievements?

While some past games in the series have had you playing on specific difficulties, or even required doing another playthrough on Legend, you won’t have to worry about the difficulty options at all in Pirate Yakuza. So, you could play this game on the easiest setting, if you wanted, or if you wish for a more challenging experience, play it on the hardest one.

Step 1 - Play through the Main Story

Naturally, you should concentrate on the main story first and foremost. While you’re going through the story, you will undoubtedly be distracted by the various Substories and side activities, so it’s a good idea to do these. Not only will you increase your Reputation, but you’ll also get stronger and obtain more money. Specifically, you’ll want to concentrate working on the following, so you don’t end up having to do them all towards the end:

(1 of 3) You should work on some things while going through the story, like Substories.

  • Substories (need 20)
  • Aloha Links (only need 50 people)
  • Photo Rally (30 pictures)
  • Do 10 different minigames
  • Bang Bang Batting Center (need to destroy 1,500 barrels)
  • Crazy Delivery (complete all courses)
  • Ounabara Vocational School (only need five courses)
  • Dragon Kart (win the three cups)
  • Bounties (50 required for the two achievements/trophies)

It’s also a good idea to try and recruit as many people to your crew, since this will help with the next step.

Step 2 - Devil Flags Side Quest

You can kind of do this step side-by-side with Step 3, as you will be doing a lot of ship battles, as well as fights with your crew, during both of them. If you are having trouble with some of the Devil Flags, especially the later ones, come back later after you recruit more characters and level them up. You’ll be required to do all of the Devil Flags stuff to get a number of trophies/achievements.

Step 3 - Pirates’ Coliseum

The third step you should worry about is the Pirates’ Coliseum, as there’s a lot to work through here. You have four different sets of bouts, with one involving ship battles first, then a deck battle. You also have a set of challenges where it’s just back-to-back battles with your crew on decks. Either way, there are a lot of challenges to go through, so keep plugging away at them to get the necessary 30 for the last trophy/achievement. You will have to do all of the fights in the Pirate’s Coliseum to unlock the final match…

(1 of 2) The Pirates’ Coliseum should be one of the last things you do, since you want to be super powerful for it.

Step 4 - Amon Pirates

After defeating all of the challenges set forth by the Pirates’ Coliseum, you will get a great treasure, but will also unlock one final fight, against the Amon Pirates. It’s a good idea to make sure your crew is maxed out there, including most of your stats. Overall, it’s a ship battle, followed by a crew battle, and one more battle after that, so be prepared for everything. Once you defeat this, you will be pretty much done with most of what the game has to offer since this is definitely the toughest challenge.

Step 5 - Cleaning Up

If you haven’t finished the main story at this point, you can do that now. You can also go around and do anything else you haven’t done yet. The trophies/achievements related to the various weaponry in Sea Dog style can be annoying to get, but you should have been doing them all during the course of the game. Whatever else you need to do get all of the achievements/trophies, do them and then you’re done!
