Before you can trigger this quest, you must have first harvested your Gysahl Greens you planted. After the first harvest, make sure you have two Vegetable Seeds before you head off.
Find the Stubborn Old Man at the Research Camp and speak with him about using the plots. Plant seeds in them. Tantal Greens take about half a day to grow so do other things and return later. Make sure you have some Gysahl Greens in your inventory and then speak with him again to complete the quest.
Tantal Greens can be used to heal the Chocobo or sold for profit.
