Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Aquarius

By
Scott Peers

This quest can be acquired from the Rattay Bailiff after asking the Innkeeper if anyone in the area needs any help. Once you have spoken to the Bailiff about the Skalitz refugees needing jobs, exhaust the dialogue options to learn where you can begin your search.

The bailiff will recommend that you speak with Alex, one of the Skalitz refugees who will be able to determine the best people for each job, and Konrad Hagen, a local wealthy merchant who is looking for a cook and housekeeper.

Speak with Alex about who he thinks might be best suited to the appropriate jobs.

Ask Alex if he knows anyone who might be capable of water carrying and emptying latrines. He will talk to the refugees and ask them to assemble outside the Rathaus, but this will take some time. You can also ask him if he knows any good cooks. He will refer you to Agnes, a celebrated cook and housekeeper who can be found in the church.

Before you go to the church to speak with Agnes, go to the merchant Konrad Hagen and ask him what he expects from a cook and housekeeper.

If you are set on employing Agnes, go to the church where you will find her praying inside.

After asking Agnes if she wants to be employed by Konrad Hagen, she will insist that she is still employed by Father Francis. Choose the following dialogue options to ensure that she will agree to work for Konrad:

– And why not?
– He doesn’t need a housekeeper anymore.
– I shouldn’t talk about it…

Once you have secured Agnes as the cook, wait until the morning when all of the refugees fit for work have assembled in the courtyard of the Rathaus. Speak with each of the refugees and exhaust all the dialogue options to determine what they might be good for. Note that Pickman, Rock and Tonda will offer something in return if you put in a good word for them. When speaking with Rock, you will have to provide him with a Marigold decoction to heal his arm, ensuring that he is fit for work.

Once you have spoken to all of the refugees and exhausted all dialogue options, you can go back to the Bailiff and tell him who you think is best for each job. You can choose anyone you like, but keep in mind that if you make poor decisions it will influence your reputation with the people of Rattay. For the best reputational outcome, choose the following for each job:

Carrying water:

– Pickman
– Vincent
– Tonda

Emptying latrines:

– Antonia
– Rock

Cook:

– Agnes

Once you have assigned each person to a job, the quest will complete.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an open-world RPG set in the last throes of the Middle Ages. The year is 1403 and the Kingdom of Bohemia is about to be plunged into turmoil. Henry, a resdient of the castle town Skalitz, is the son of a renowned blacksmith. When Skalitz is attacked, both of his parents are killed by the invading forces of Hungarian King Sigismund, led by Sir Markvart von Aulitz. Henry’s quest then becomes your own; to exact vengeance upon those who destroyed his hometown, friends and family.
