After the events of Chapter 3 - Mushroom Rock , you’ll be able to find Gippal near the Djose Temple. If you came from Mushroom Rock on-foot, you’ll find a chest with three Hi-Potions on the way on Pilgrimage Road, with three Phoenix Downs in a chest just outside the temple proper. Speaking with Gippal will yield a scene and an Al Bhed Primer . That’ll do it for now; if you’re worried about Shinra’s CommSphere, that’ll be done in our later Chapter 3 visit; there’s a mission to be done here then.
