Save Citizens

The save citizen activities will appear randomly and for the most part, only in New York and the larger settlements or outposts (St Nicolas, Halifax etc.). The side-activities themselves consist of rescuing or helping a group of NPCs who have found themselves in trouble with the local authorities. These rescue side-activities are marked with a circular icon with a group of three people on it. Approach the icon to begin.

There are a number of different permutations to this side-task and they usually include the following:

1. Prisoners

The citizens in this activity are always on their knees being held at gunpoint. You will need to sneak up and kill the two gunners holding their weapons on the prisoners before freeing them. If you are spotted, the enemies will attempt to shoot the prisoners, so make sure you approach undetected!

2. Brawl

A group of citizens and guards/gang members will be attacking each other. Enter the fray and help the citizens kill the aggressors to free them. You will earn 2-4 crew members per completed Save Citizen mission.

Frontier Clashes

There are a number of areas around the larger maps where you’ll run into a group of British soldiers under attack from French forces. When you observe one of these events, a health bar will appear on the left side of the screen representing the British army’s health and will diminish quite rapidly. We essentially need to clear out all of the enemies from the area as quickly as possible whilst completing a couple of objectives.

The game wants us specifically to take down the French captain, who is usually conveniently marked for you and once the rest of the baddies have been dealt with, cut down the flag. This will result in a scene to end the mission.

You’ll earn 500L per completed frontier clash event.

People in Distress

These random events occur in wilderness type areas (Old Groth Forest etc.) and usually involve helping out a marked NPC who is in a spot of bother. Most of the time, they are hanging from a tree branch or a cliff and you are required to run up to and interact with them to save them.

You will earn 100L per rescue.
