Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, being a Soulslike, is a pretty intense experience, asking you to take down some pretty formidable bosses from Chinese folklore. While you can get support from an ally, you are also able to summon in a co-op partner to aid you in your progression.
Moreover, Wo Long is on the big three platforms - Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, so many are wondering if there is cross platform play, or crossplay for short.
This guide will take you through everything we know about Wo Long’s crossplay functionality so you can inform your friends on different platforms if they can hop in and take down some mighty foes with you.
Does Wo Long Have Crossplay?¶
So you know that you’re able to get some co-op action going in Wo Long, but is this limited to a sole platform or can you play with whoever you want?
Well, we’ve got some sad news for you because unfortunately, Wo Long does not have crossplay functionality. This is something that many fans were looking to be implemented since the game is on Game Pass, allowing both Xbox console owners and PC subscribers to get involved free of additional charge.
While this certainly has a detriment on co-op play, it also has a huge effect on the multiplayer functionality as a whole. This is due to the fact tat you’re actually able to invade other players and test their PVP skills also, so those looking to gain a different type of experience, not just PVE, could be left wanting as the player base dwindles over time.
Thankfully, there aren’t any trophies or achievements specifically tied to multiplayer so at least that’s a win if there ends up being a situation where you can’t find another player to co-op with or someone to invade.
Now, while all of this is the case, as Team Ninja has a large content plan spanning a whole Season Pass, we could see crossplay functionality added at a later date. But, we have no word on this currently so all a waiting game at this moment in time.
