Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

How To Heal In Wo Long

By
Jacob Woodward

Healing in any game is vital to success but in Wo Long, it’s absolutely essential to get a refill of that health bar, even mid fight, enabling you to hopefully dispatch whoever is in front of you.

You’ll obviously want to be at full health before any big fight, and while resting at Battle Flags will do this, you may get caught with a surprise slash on your travels, meaning you’ll need a quick regen.

This guide will run you through the healing mechanic in Wo Long as well as some information around how to heal more of those hit points.

How To Heal In Wo Long: Dragon Cure Pots Explained

If you skipped over the tutorial or simply want a refresher on how to heal in Wo Long, you’re likely not alone. The game doesn’t really explain too much about it, and you’ll likely be firing through any pop ups to get to hacking and slashing rather than reading on-screen text.

To heal in Wo Long, what you’ll first need are Dragon Cure Pots the number you have is indicated on the bottom left of the screen, at the top of the diamond.

Dragon Cure Pot count in Wo Long

When you start a mission, you will have the maximum number of Dragon Cure Pots at your disposal and as you use them, this count will naturally go down. However, you can regain these, not by purchasing, but simply by resting at a Battle Flag. Resting will also refill your HP to full but obviously at the cost of respawning enemies, so keep that in mind if you’re doing a little exploring.

Now, to the actual healing process. To heal in Wo Long, all you’ll need to do is press up on the d-pad. This will instantly heal a set amount of your health and not the full bar, so you may need to do multiple of these to get back to a pristine state.

You can increase the number of Dragon Cure Pots you have, but this will require you to locate Dragon Vein Crystals which are somewhat hidden throughout missions. Moreover, you can also increase their potency, giving you more health back in each use. This is via a similar item - Dragon Vein Essence, which again, are scattered around the play space.

Picking up a Dragon Vein Crystal in Wo Long

There is a chance that Dragon Cure Pots will drop when you defeat enemies but this is somewhat rare so do ensure you loot any of the foes you defeat.
