If you’ve booted up Wo Long already, you’ll know that it has a pretty extensive character creator, similar to that of previous Team Ninja titles, allowing for some pretty wild and wacky in-game customisation. However, if you just wanted to blast through this and are now regretting not spending as much time as you should, you are in fact able to change appearance after progressing past this point.
This is a nice little touch and something that not many developers actually implement into their games. But, it’s not made clear when it’s unlocked or how you change appearance. This guide will detail all so you can switch up your look nice and fast.
How To Change Character Appearance In Wo Long¶
If you are wanting to change your character’s features or style in Wo Long, there are actually a couple of ways you can do this.
The first of these is actually more of a personal preference thing, focusing on your armour and weapons rather than your physical features, allowing you to toggle their appearance on or off.
To do this, open your usual menu and head into the Settings tab. Once in here, hit the first Game Settings option in the list, and then here you will be presented with a few different appearance options.
You’re able to toggle your helmet on or off, as well as a more in-depth set of options for both melee and ranged weapons. This will allow you to tune your character’s outer look to your liking, always nice when you pick up a helmet that is less than ideal looking but offers some nice stat improvements.
Moving on to the second way in which you can alter your warrior’s look, this time, we’ll be focusing on those facial features. However, this isn’t unlocked right away, and you’ll need to get some game progression in until it is.
To gain access to this, you’ll first have to get to the point in Wo Long where you’ve defeated Aoye in Part 3. After, you’ll be introduced to a new NPC called Zou Chi who will then head to the Hidden Village.
Once this has happened, you’ll then need to visit him. Upon interacting, you’ll see a Change Appearance option which, as you would expect, is the exact thing we’re looking for. Selecting this will enter you into the same character creation functionality that you went through at the start of the game so you’re able to literally switch up your whole image.
What’s fantastic about this is that it costs absolutely nothing so you can do this time and time again if you simply get bored of what your in-game counterpart looks like.
