Melemele Sidequests - Part 2

By
Vincent Lau

Route 3 Area

We’ve still got a lot of ground to cover. From Route 2, continue onwards to Route 3. Don’t hesitate to use "Tauros" IconTauros Charge to get around quicker. Head all the way towards the entrance to Melemele Meadow, ideally along the upper path, where the trainers were.

Between the entrance and Ace Trainer Makana by the bridge, you can find a "Zygarde" IconZygarde Cell (11) if it’s currently day . From the north side of the bridge, head east towards the man who gave you the Shell Bell. Smash through the rocks up ahead to retrieve TM83 Infestation .

Cross the bridge south and keep going until you reach the bottom of the slope. Perhaps you noticed it along the way, head north from the right side of the slope to pick up a Zygarde Cell (12) hiding next to the tree. Finally, exit Route 3 to the south.

Route 1 Area

We’re getting there! Not quite near the end, but still… First, head west back to Iki Town. Once there, go all the way to the back of town. At the entrance to Mahalo Trail, you can find a Zygarde Cell (3) snuggling to the right, between a tree and a man.

Next, enter Hala’s house to the west. Run past Hala and swing open the upper-most door along the east side. Just ahead, you should easily spot Zygarde Core (2) at the balcony. This one teaches Zygarde the devastating move Thousand Arrows.

You can pick up items while riding Tauros too!

Leave Iki Town back to Route 1 and head towards the crossroad a short distance east, where the Trainer Tips sign is. From here, smash through the rocks to the south using your buddy Tauros to discover a brand new path. Here, make your way south-west to pick up a Nest Ball .

Next, travel east along the upper path, where there’s tall grass. After hopping over the ledge, grab the Nugget in the corner, then leap over the ledge to the south. By the way, the Trainer Tips sign here also hints where we’ll be visiting very soon…

Before that though, carry on east, over the ledge. If it’s day , you can find a Zygarde Cell (2) next to the tree to the north of where you landed. Either way, that’s about it for this new path, although you’re free to comb the tall grass for new Pokemon.

To leave the path, continue east, through the tall grass and over the ledges. You’ll arrive back on the path you visited at the very start of the game. If it’s day time, follow the path back to the crossroad before you smashed through the rocks.

From there, follow the path east, from above the wooden fence. Keep going until you reach the tall grass, below Youngster Jimmy. Above the grass, where the wooden fence meets the hill is a Zygarde Cell (1) . You won’t see it during night time though.

Finally, make your way back home, by traveling in a southerly direction. Inside your room, there’s a Zygarde Core (1) between your desk and your bed. Um, was that always there? This one teaches Extreme Speed to Zygarde; a power Normal-type priority move.

Just two more things! If it’s night , head west to the Trainers’ School. Inside the school building, on the ground floor, there’s a Zygarde Cell (5) sleeping in the starry patterned mat in the play area. Huh, these guys sure know how to relax, while we painstakingly try to gather them!

Last thing! Sort of… From your house, head south towards Kukui’s Lab. Make for the east side of the building, while on the beach, to stumble across a Zygarde Cell (4) . That’s everything for now. Moving on, we’ve got a whole new area to explore!

From the Lab head south-west towards the tall grass. Beyond, you can use Tauros Charge to smash past the rocks, revealing the entrance to Ten Carat Hill. Now this really is the start of the end!
