Dekkah can be found standing on the high ledge overlooking Rolling Hills, just northeast of “Rolling Hills” on the map. Speak with him to learn who he is and what he wants to do. Of course, what he wants from you is a steak dinner. You might have found one in a chest in the Ding Dong Dell region (over by Western Woods), so if you haven’t eaten it, you can just give it to him. If you don’t have one, though, you can make a steak dinner at Evermore. Three of the five ingredients are easy to obtain, since you can get them from Evermore, but two might be a bit elusive. Stardust Pepper can be bought from the food vendor in Broadleaf, but the Melt-in-the-Mouth Meat requires you to harvest it firsthand, from the high level Windwyrms in the higher elevations of Ding Dong Dell.

Give Dekkah his steak dinner and he will run off to the Goldpaw region next. Travel to the Calmlands trip door and look for Dekkah on the Sundown Coast island, towards the western side. The next thing he wants is a Lucky Lobster dish, so return to Evermore and speak with Floyd to see what ingredients are needed. Four of them can be bought from the General Store, while the Top Lobster can be harvested from the Fine/Fabulous Fish Markets. Make one and then bring it to Dekkah, who will move on to a new location, Hydropolis.

He’s not actually in Hydropolis, but rather on Makronos. Dekkah can be found towards the upper edge of the blue circle, on top to the east of Dampshoe Cave. This time, Dekkah wants a steamy bowl of Hydropolitan Stew. Thankfully, you don’t actually have to make this, as you can purchase it in Hydropolis, from the food merchant near Ankura Harbor. Hand it over to Dekkah and he’ll set off to Broadleaf next. He can be found on the ledge to the west of Broadleaf, overlooking the Pinwheel Flats. Dekkah wants an Executive Steak this time, which is another dish that can be bought from the food vendor in Lower Midtown of Broadleaf.

(1 of 5) Dekkah’s initial location near Ding Dong Dell

Giving the executive steak to Dekkar will make him set off for his next destination, but he doesn’t say where it is. Luckily, the game directs you to the south, as the marker appears at the Drylands. Dekkar will be face first on the northern end of the blue circle and upon speaking to him, he asks for a gooey curry. You’ve never heard of this food, though, but Dekkar does have a copy of How the Ancients Ate, which lists the recipe. With this recipe book in hand, return to Evermore and give it to Floyd.

This unlocks a bunch of recipes, include a few you’ll need for other sidequests. However, as already mentioned, you want to concentrate on the gooey curry for now. This requires Floyd’s cookery level to be at 7, so if it isn’t, then you need to cook dishes until it is. Once that is up to snuff, you will find that the ingredients aren’t particularly hard to acquire, with three of them availabl from the General Store. The other two can be gotten from your facilities in Evermore. Make the gooey curry and bring it back to Dekkah, who will end up joining your kingdom.
