The Boastful Man tells all kind of tall tales about his younger days, then wishes for Evan to follow company. The first step is to defeat a vicious monster, named Conflagra, near the city. Travel to the Calmlands trip door and look for Sundown Coast to your east. Being mindful of the Manticore here, head down the hills on this island to find a Tainted Monster. Conflagra is level 26 and is pretty much the same as Mystral, which you fought earlier. You only need to watch out for two moves, which are a projectile and a charge attack. Provided you upgraded your weapons at Evermore, it shouldn’t take too long to fell this monster. You’ll receive 42967 experience, 2200G and Sage’s Secret (x3) for defeating Conflagra, plus the rewards for completing this sidequest whenever you return to speak with the NPC.
