Katayama Market is a Mongol Territory on Iki Island.

Defeat the Mongols¶

Travel south from Fort Sakai to locate Katayama Market, this was once a vibrant market town on Iki Island that has now been overrun by the Mongols and your task here is to Defeat all of the Mongols in the area.

The best way to approach this area is from the northwest as you’ll see two Archers, some distance apart, on watchtowers before you even reach the market. This allows you to get in a safe position, take out the Longbow and snipe them without anyone noticing. As you approach the market itself, you’ll notice that there are more Mongols places on watchtowers all around the outside of it, with a Hwacha at their disposal.

This is where you can choose how you wish to tackle this Mongol Territory, if you wish to forego stealth, simply pick off one of the Mongols near a Hwacha and use it to rain destruction down on your foes. If you’re aiming for the quiet approach, it’s a bit trickier. Your first action should be to work on sniping all of the Mongols around the outside, this ensures that there’s no danger of a Hwacha being used against you, should you be spotted.

This entire market is all about keeping quiet, heading around the outside and dealing with these Archers as they make up about 85% of the Mongols you’ll face here. As you reach the southwestern edge, be on the lookout for an eagle, be sure to use Concentration to snipe it before it can alert the rest of the enemies to your presence. Once all of the archers have been deal with, it’s just a matter of finishing up any Mongols that remain in the market itself, which shouldn’t be too many. Forego stealth and head inside with either a Stand-off or using your Ghost tools to liberate the market.
