How to Unlock the Smithing Station Recipe¶
In order to unlock the Smithing Station recipe, you’ll need to purchase it from BURG.L’s Science Shop. It will cost 
100 Raw Science. You should purchase this upgrade asap as you’ll be able to upgrade your armor and tools and gear up for all the spooky creatures that terrorise the Yard.

How to get Brittle Marble Shard¶
Brittle Marble Shards are obtained either by mining rocks or by finding it in shard form. It’s likely that your first encounter with these shards will be with picking them up from the Hedge Lab resource room. But you can also obtain it from smashing rocks found around the map, especially in caves. The shards can also be occasionally found in chests in labs and the surrounding areas.

Marble shards can be found quite frequently in labs.
How to Get Brittle Quartzite Shard¶
Like Brittle Marble, Brittle Quartzite shards can be found either in shard form in lab resource rooms or by mining Quartzite rocks found in caves. The shards can also be occasionally found in chests in labs and the surrounding areas.

How to Get Sap¶
Sap is a sticky yellow goo that can be found all over branches, particularly around Oak Hill. You can also find lots of sap on the shelves in the Oak Lab.
Once you possess a hammer you can also obtain them from large globs of Sap. And later on, you could even make a Sap Catcher to collect sap from the comfort of your base!
Sap can be found in the Oak Lab as well as out in the open.
How to Craft Crude Rope¶
Crude Ropes can be crafted by hand using x3 
Plant Fiber per Crude Rope. Plant Fibers can be obtained from picking small, low-lying plants which can be found all over the ground. And before you can make Crude Rope, you’ll need to first analyze Plant Fiber at the Resource Analyzer to unlock the recipe.
