This page offers a guide on how to build a Workbench in Grounded. The workbench is a requirement for the quest, Workbench Woes.
How to Unlock the Workbench Recipe¶
The Workbench Recipe will become available once you use one of the Field Station Resource Analyzers to analyze Sap. It can be crafted by hand.
How to Build a Workbench¶
To craft a Workbench, you’ll need the following materials:
Icon | Material | Quantity |
---|---|---|
Grass Plank | x3 | |
Sprig | x4 | |
Sap | x2 |
How to Get Grass Planks¶
Grass Planks are a resource obtained from chopping Grass with an axe. The first axe you’ll likely make is a Pebblet Axe. When you chop down a blade of grass it’ll collapse into wood plank-like material. If you pick up grass planks, you’ll be required to hold them on your shoulder until you either drop them or use them. This will prevent you from being able to use any other tools.
How to Get Sprigs¶
Sprigs are a medium-sized two leafed plant found in abundance in the yard. You can grab them from the ground without the use of any tool.
How to Get Sap¶
Sap is a sticky yellow goo that can be found all over branches, particularly around Oak Hill. You can also find lots of sap on the shelves in the Oak Lab.
Once you possess a hammer you can also obtain them from large globs of Sap. And later on, you could even make a Sap Catcher to collect sap from the comfort of your base!
