This page offers a guide on how to get Weed Stems in Grounded. Weed Stems are a versatile material used for lots of things including base building and making furniture.

Where to Find Weed Stems¶
Weed Stems are a plank-like material (similar to Grass Planks) that can be obtained from chopping down Weeds. There are three tiers of weeds, meaning the higher tiers will be unavailable to you at first because your axe won’t be strong enough:
- Dandelion (I)
- Husky Weeds (II)
- Bur Weeds (III)
So for beginners, you’ll want to stick with obtaining your Weed Stems from Dandelions. Luckily, Dandelions are really easy to locate. Just look up and find those distinct dandelion puffs then chop it down! You can also look out for its distinctive dandelion leaves. If you pick up weed stems, you’ll be required to hold them on your shoulder until you either drop them or use them. This will prevent you from being able to use any other tools. You can hold up to 5 at once.

How to Store Weed Stems¶
Like Grass Planks, you can’t put Weed Stems in normal storage. Instead you’ll need to make a Stem Pallet to store them. If you just place them on the ground they’ll despawn, and since you’re gonna need a lot of stems for base building it’s best to have some to hand. The Stem Pallet can hold up to 21 Stems.
The Stem Pallet recipe can be unlocked by analyzing a Dry Grass Chunk at the Resource Analyzer.

How to Get Sprigs¶
Sprigs are a medium-sized two leafed plant found in abundance in the yard. You can grab them from the ground without the use of any tool.
Sprigs are a very common resource.
How to Get Dry Grass Chunks¶
Dry Grass Chunks can be obtained by chopping down dead grass. It’s golden in color and can be found easily around the entire yard.

How to Get Pebblets¶
Pebblets are small pebbles that can be picked up from the ground. They are a very common resource all around the yard and can also be obtained from smashing up larger rocks using a hammer.
Pebblets are found on the ground.
How to Make Crude Rope¶
Crude Ropes can be crafted by hand using x3 Plant Fiber per Crude Rope. Plant Fibers can be obtained from picking small, low-lying plants which can be found all over the ground. And before you can make Crude Rope, you’ll need to first analyze Plant Fiber at the Resource Analyzer to unlock the recipe.
