Grand Theft Auto V

New Features Added in The Los Santos Drug Wars DLC

By
Shane Williams

Los Santos Drug Wars dropped into GTA on December 13th 2022 and there’s been several new features added into the game. Here is what you can expect:

The Freakshop is a New Social Space

All New GTA Online Features

New Social Space

Los Santos Drug Wars has brought along a new social space which is known as The Freakshop. This can be unlocked via completing the First Dose Storyline. Here is where the new business will take place. Additionally, this is where the Series A Heist Finale started.

New Business

The Freakshop will also be the home to the new business which was added into GTA Online. Here you can produce Acid and sell it for additional income.

New Jobs

Once you’ve completed the First Dose Storyline you can contact Dax and choose the “Request Work” Option to start a Fooligan Job which is one of five missions that’ll be selected at random. Upon completing the missions you’ll be rewarded with $50,000, but throughout the first week players can earn $100,000. Unfortunately, there is a 48 minute cooldown, so it isn’t the best money making method.

New Vehicles

8 new vehicles have been added into GTA Online at the launch of the Los Santos Drug Wars and they can be found via this page: All New Cars in The Los Santos Drug Wars DLC. There is a further 8 cars which will be drip-feed into the game over coming weeks/months.

Hide Phone Contacts

Finally, players can hide contacts on their phone by opening the interaction menu, clicking Inventory followed by Phone Contact Favorites. This change will make it easier to reach important contacts, such as Lester without having to scroll for ages.

Map Blip Options

Map Blip Options have been put back into the game, so you can remove unwanted markers by going to the Interaction Menu > Map Blip Options. Here you can remove anything you don’t have any interest in to make the things you’re looking for easier to see.

Request Bicycles

After 9 years of GTA Online players can finally request Bicycles from your Mechanic which is good players who would like to change up their form of transport every so often.

Quicker Vehicle Delivery

Purchased vehicle will now be delivered to your Garage a lot faster. This was a much needed change, as before you’ll find yourself sitting around for a while waiting to customize your new car or motorcycle.

Business Changes

  • Hanger Sell Missions have had their payout tripled!
  • Selling Vehicle Warehouse Stock in Public Sessions will reward you with a Higher Demand Bonus

Mission Changes

There have been quite a few changes to missions to GTA Online and they’re the following:

  • Players can now take on the Agatha’s Casino Story Missions

  • You can no longer use the Toreador in missions, so players will need to find an alternative, such as the Kuruma (Armored).

  • Rockstar have implemented a change to the Cayo Perico Heist which will allow the guards to find dead enemies, so you’ll want to be more cautious when killing to avoid being detected. If you would like help completing the heist, then refer to this page: How to Complete The Cayo Perico Heist.
