This page is a walkthrough for the beginning of the Cayo Perico Heist. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to getting the Heist started.
Meet with Miguel Madrazo at the Music Locker.
Purchase a Submarine / Meet Miguel Madrazo¶
To begin the Cayo Perico Heist, purchase a Submarine from the Warstock Website for around $2,200,000. If you don’t have the available funds, then consider farming the previous heist, The Doomsday Heist , as this will give you around 600k per completion.

Once you’re a proud owner of a Submarine, then speak with Miguel Madrazo at the Music Locker which is located next door to the Casino. He’ll give you information on a Heist which takes place on the island of Cayo Perico to collect files that contain stuff evidence about his family.
Gather Intel¶
Return to your Submarine and interact with the planning screen and activate the “Gather Intel” mission, then meet with the party crew in the hangar at Los Santos International Airport. After the cutscene has come to a close, jump in the nearby vehicle and drive the group to the Beach Party which is marked on your map.
After you’ve done a bit of dancing, sneak out of the gate by paying attention to the mini-map and when the enemy’s cone looks away make a run for it. Now stick to walking through open grassy areas and swimming to avoid enemies on your way to the El Rubio’s Compound.
Hack the Signal Box¶
As you approach the compound, you’ll get another instruction to climb up the nearby Communication Tower which can easily be seen by looking up. Interact with the Signal Box on the Tower and you’ll be required to hack it. To do this, you’ll need to align the numbers on the left to the modifiers on the right to acquire the target score which is shown above.

You’ll now have access to the compound’s cameras and you’ll want to scan each room which allows you to have more intel going into the Heist. Below you’ll find the items you can scan.

Once you’re done, walk to the North Dock and take a picture of the waterway and send it to Pavel, then look inside the building furthest to the left and take a picture of the Weed. You can also take a picture of Bolt Cutters which is on top of an electrical box.

You can now return to the airstrip and interact with the Pilot to return to Los Santos or you can continue looking around the island for the following.
