45 - The Final Showdown For Real has Ichiban duking it out with Asakura one final time. This is by far the hardest fight in the series, and as usual, you are taking Asakura on alone. It can be a bit tricky to win this fight due to Asakura’s powerful new combo, but with the right strategy, it is possible. The guide below goes over how to defeat Asakura and get the Knockout Combo ability.
The last Asakura fight is a tricky one, with high damage moves draining Ichiban’s health bar.
How to Beat Asakura in The Final Fight¶
Substory 45 - The Final Showdown For Real, will trigger after you complete Substory 44 - A Changed Man. Like before, Asakura will send Ichiban a text when he’s ready for the final match. He will be located at Shipper’s Wharf in the same spot as before. Be cautious of the powerful enemies wandering the alleyway, as they can still pack quite a punch before your battle. This is Asakura’s final form, and he now deals over 300 damage in a single hit. You will want to be fully healed for the fight and have some items on hand to help Ichiban in a pinch.
Unlocking the Knockout Combo Ability¶
Asakura is now level 33 and is more deadly than ever. We highly recommend using Poundmates for this encounter. In fact, calling in Mameoka or Kashiwagi, if you have them, is a smart move to get ahead on healing. In most cases, Asakura can place your health bar a little under the halfway point with each turn, so be sure to get those perfect blocks in to keep his damage as low as possible. We also recommend being at least two levels above Asakura to guarantee you can win the fight and ensure that you have powerful gear. When you beat him this time, you will unlock the ability Knockout Combo. This is the same combo Asakura was using on you. It allows you to hit an opponent multiple times, drilling up a high amount of damage. After completing this substory, there is only a single Asakura quest left, substory 46 - A Man Facing The Future.
