How to Make Souvenirs - Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

By
Jessica Dillon

The Dondoko Island tourist system can be a bit confusing at first, especially since there is a whole section of souvenirs you can gift. Each souvenir has to be unlocked using Dondoko Bucks, and then you have to bring the items to Subaru to make them. To help make this process easier, the guide below goes over when souvenirs unlock, their cost, how to make them, and where to get the items required to make each one.

Subaru is in charge of guest relations and making Souvenirs.

When do Souvenirs Unlock

Souvenirs unlock near the final day of your first tour. This will happen shortly after you reach Resort Rank One and accept your first tourists. On the day they unlock, you will be introduced to a young boy named Subaru. Subaru will stay at the shack on Dondoko Beach, and you can speak with him there to buy and make souvenirs. The cheapest recipe to buy is 10,000 Dokobucks, but some souvenirs will cost as much as 100,000 Dokobucks. In addition to having enough money, you will also need to increase your builder level to 30 to buy every single recipe from Subaru.

(1 of 3) You will need to buy the recipe from Subaru for each souvenir.

Once a souvenir is made, it can be given to a tourist to increase their happiness. You can give tourists one gift a day, so make sure to make use of this system. They can also be sold at the shop but don’t generally fetch a high price. Keep in mind that all guests may not react the same to each souvenir, so you will need to work out what to give and to whom. It generally seems that the nicer the souvenir is the more likely a high-profile guest will be to like it.

All Souvenirs on Dondoko Island

There are a total of 17 souvenirs that you can choose from. You can make as many as you want as long as you’ve bought the recipes and have the supplies. Keep in mind you must speak with Subaru each time you want to make a souvenir, and they can be made whether you have tourists on the island or not. Additionally, there is a portion of the souvenirs that can be consumed by Ichiban in order to restore his health. The table below breaks down the souvenirs by price and the materials you need to make them.

While it may seem like a lot to take in at first, most souvenirs share ingredients with only a few exceptions, like the statues. Thanks to this, it’s easy to procure a large number of these items, allowing you to make and stock up on souvenirs to give out during each tour. The sections below go over where to get each type of item used in Souvenir making.

Where to Find Vegetables and Herbs

You can find vegetables and herbs growing around various parts of the island, but to get enough to make souvenirs, you will want to use Dondoko Farm or buy crop patches from the shop. You can choose three types of vegetables and herbs to grow at once on Dondoko farm, or place crop patches of each type of plant to have a supply of them ready to pick up near the front of the shop each day. If you do try to gather them one by one from Dondoko Island, keep in mind that the plant spawn is random, and some items like Dondoko Herb likely won’t show up.

Where to Find Mushrooms

Mushrooms can be found from the start of the game. They grow on all the beaches, around the big tree on Dondoko Farm, and in various spots all over the unlockable sections of the island. Mushrooms are one of the most common items, making souvenirs made using them an easy pick.

Where to Find Fossils and Dondoko Stone

You can find plenty of Fossils and Dondoko Stone all over the island, starting with the areas that unlock at Resort Rank One. Dondoko Stone is primarily found around the hill, while fossils can be found from any ore pile, especially if you are looking at Dondoko farm. The item that each ore pile gives is randomized, but Dondoko Stone, Dinosaur(?) Fossil, and Yeti(?) Fossils are all common items that will appear frequently. It may still take a couple of days to get enough for a souvenir, though.

Where to Find Bugs and Fish

There are only three types of wildlife used in souvenirs: Red Dondo Bugs, Green Dondo Bugs, and Dondoko Scuttlers. Dondo Bugs appear all over Dondoko Island, especially in the areas near the Entrance and Great Tree. Dondoko Scuttlers are also common and can be fished up from Dondoko Beach right beside Subaru’s shack. Items using these critters are also a good choice, as it’s easy to make a large batch of them quickly.
