What is Dondoko Island?¶
Dondoko Island is, in essence, an Animal Crossing parody with a Like a Dragon twist. Here, you will be able to do several tasks like restoring the island, cleaning up trash, building furniture, and catching bugs. The island is also home to one of the many ways that you can train Sujimon if you can get your resort rating high enough. Dondoko Island can also provide players with a way to make easy money once they get everything up and running. The island has its own self-contained story and combat style as well, giving it a stark contrast from the rest of the game.
How to Unlock Dondoko Island¶
Dondoko Island will only unlock once you have made it to chapter six. At this point, you will need to play until Ichiban wakes up on the island. Once there, you must complete several tasks to help the island out before being allowed to return to Honolulu. Players can come and go from the island as they please by riding the dolphin to move between the two maps. Like most side content, there is a special reward for helping out the island, but it is not required to complete the main story of the game.
