Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

New Minigames in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

By
Jarrod Garripoli

The Yakuza/Like A Dragon series has always been known for being filled to the brim with loads of content and Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is no exception to that rule. There are loads of minigames in Infinite Wealth, including plenty of returning favorites, as well as some new ones you might not have seen coming. This page will take a look at some of the minigames included with Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

The series has always been known to be jam packed with minigames.

Crazy Delivery

One of the new minigames being included in Infinite Wealth is called Crazy Delivery. You are a delivery driver who picks up food and brings it to people. While that might sound a little boring, the game spices it up by asking you to perform stunts along the way to earn better tips and get more money. It’s difficult to not think that this minigame was inspired in some way by Crazy Taxi.

Sicko Snap

Another new minigame will have you getting behind the lens of a camera to take some pictures. This minigame was featured in the demo available with Like A Dragon Gaiden, where you ride a trolley and must take pictures of some NPCs. It is on rails and akin to something like Pokemon Snap, although you really only need to take pictures and don’t have to worry about anything else. Do well enough and you will earn items that can be used in the main game.

Miss Match

Miss Match is a matchmaking app that Ichiban can use to meet with women. While conversing with the women, you will input button combinations for your responses. Upon successfully wooing a girl with your answers, you will eventually meet them face-to-face. You can use the dating app to help improve Ichiban’s personality stats.

(1 of 3) Miss Match has you going on a dating app.

Karaoke

Everyone’s favorite little minigame is back, where Ichiban and his friends will sing along to various songs. While they sing, you will need to press the buttons shown on your screen to the rhythm. There are a number of songs in the game, including those returning from previous entries, as well as some new ones. It appears that each of the main characters will have their own song, or at least, most of them will have their own song.

Dondoko Island

As one of the biggest new additions, Ichiban will find himself on some island that he needs to turn from the landfill it’s become, into a five-star resort. If you’ve played games such as Animal Crossing, then this will feel familiar to you, as it has a similar gameplay loop. You can clear the island of its garbage, which turns into materials, that you can then use to construct furniture and buildings. As you develop the island, guests will eventually come and stay there. Of course, the island won’t be without people coming to attack it, so you’ll also have to defend the place.

(1 of 4) Dondoko Island will be one of the bigger side activities in Infinite Wealth.

Arcade Games

Sega has always included a couple of arcade games in each entry of the series, and they have some new ones in this game. SpikeOut is a 3D beat-em-up that bears a striking resemblance to the Streets of Rage series. Sega Bass Fishing was an arcade game first released in 1997, which has had ports across various platforms. You need to catch fish of a certain size to progress through stages. The last arcade game that’s been officially announced is Virtua Fighter 3tb, which is an updated version of the fighting game, Virtua Fighter 3. The “tb” stands for Team Battle, which allows you to form some teams of fighters and duke it out.

This is just a small taste of the selection of minigames to be included in Infinite Wealth, as there are plenty more. It is highly likely that the normal gambling minigames are in there, like Mahjong, as well as Poker and even Darts (Poker and Darts are confirmed). Suffice to say that Infinite Wealth will be packed with plenty of content!
