Crazy Delivery Minigame Guide - Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

By
Jarrod Garripoli

There are a plethora of minigames available in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, some of which are returning from previous games and some being completely new. "Crazy Delivery" iconCrazy Delivery is one of those new minigames, which unlocks relatively early in the game. You are essentially delivering food to various customers around the eastern half of the Hawaii map, although it’s not always as simple as it sounds. This page will go over when you unlock Crazy Delivery and provide tips and tricks for completing it.

Crazy Delivery is a fun minigame that plays similarly to Crazy Taxi.

How to Unlock Crazy Delivery in Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Crazy Delivery will unlock during the course of Chapter 3 and is needed in order to progress the main story. After learning about a black market dealer operating out of a food truck, you will need to get some money in order to get some information. This leads to you learning about a delivery service as a job, bringing you to the beach just east of the Aloha Beachfront taxi spot. You will need to complete one instance of the minigame before being able to move on with the story.

How to Play Crazy Delivery in Infinite Wealth

Of course, Crazy Delivery isn’t just a simple “point A to point B” delivery system. First and foremost, you will have to pick up the food you need to deliver. These are simply item pick-ups on the road, and driving over them will add them to your on-screen inventory. When you have enough, you will go to one of the groups of people waiting to have their food delivered. The problem that arises is that there are three different types of food, which are Hamburgers, Pizza and Sushi. The people you deliver to will have an icon over their heads that indicates the food they want.

So, the first problem you will encounter is making sure that you collect enough of the right foods to deliver to the relevant people. Thankfully, the mini-map will help a lot, as the people’s orders are color-coded. Blue orders are rarer and will always want Sushi, while orange ones will want Pizza and yellow want Hamburgers. That’s the basis for the minigame, but things get a bit more complicated when you factor in the Crazy part of the name.

Crazy Delivery - Performing Stunts

If you just collect the food and deliver it normally, you’re not going to get a lot of money. That’s where the stunts come into play. By pressing the left analog stick in any direction, with the Circle/B button, you will perform a stunt. Do three stunts in a row and you will boost your score whenever you deliver food to people, with stunts also giving you some money just for doing them. One major tip is that you should always be doing three stunts before dropping off a delivery. You will see it go from Cool to Genius and finally, Extreme as you do the tricks.

(1 of 3) You will always want to be in the Extreme state when delivering the food.

In addition to the stunts, there are various items you can pick up that benefit you. The Backpack will make it so wiping out will not make you lose any food for a brief period of time. The Bottle will give you an extra boost, shown as the flame icons on the bottom of the screen. The Ticket will give you a temporary multiplier for all deliveries, which is 1.5x the normal amount. All of these power-ups will be shown on the map, so you can plan ahead for which to grab while doing the various courses.

Crazy Delivery Hazards

Naturally, you’re not going to be participating in the minigame without some sort of hazards trying to prevent you from doing it. One of the first hazards you’re introduced to is cars on the road. These are generally easy to avoid, as you can simply move out of the way or jump over them. They will sometimes be carrying some food on top of them, so jumping might be better. You are also able to get rid of the car if you perform a stunt at the right time, like when you are about to make contact with it.

Other hazards include people watering the sidewalk, construction works that perform a small shockwave, and other people on the sidewalk that will breathe fire periodically. They’re not always active, but they activate often enough to be a nuisance, especially in the later courses. As mentioned before, getting hit by a hazard will knock you down, wasting precious time, and you’ll also lose some of your food.

There is one more extra thing to be wary about while doing Crazy Delivery, which are the super jumps. Every single time you do a course, there will be two springboards on the map. When you hit them, they’ll launch Ichiban into the air. Time will stop while this is happening, so don’t forget about these. While in the air, you will usually have to mash a button and successfully doing this will net you a good bit of money towards your goal.

Crazy Delivery Courses

There are four different courses for the Crazy Delivery minigame, which are Easy, Normal, Hard and Crazy. The basics are no different between all of the courses, with the completion ranks just being increased for the harder ones. Also, the more difficult the course, the more hazards there will be for you to dodge. The following table will list all of the courses, as well as the threshold for each of the ranks. Note that you will need to clear the previous course before unlocking the next one in line (only need a C Rank).

Course C-Rank B-Rank A-Rank S-Rank
Easy $4,000 $8,000 $12,000 $18,000
Normal $7,500 $13,000 $20,000 $27,000
Hard $25,000 $32,000 $38,000 $45,000
Crazy $30,000 $35,000 $45,000 $55,000

All Crazy Delivery Point Rewards

The game makes it out that Crazy Delivery is used to make money in the main game, but it’s not. Instead, depending on the completion rank in which you finish, as well as your Delivery Rank, you will receive points. These points can then be redeemed for either some money, or items you can use for the game. Upon first unlocking the minigame, some of the equipment is a decent upgrade over the pieces you have at the time. There is a trophy/achievement for completing all of the courses once, but that’s it.
