How to Reach Dondoko Island Resort Rank Five

By
Jessica Dillon

Once you reach Resort Rank Four, you’ve unlocked most of what Dondoko Island has to offer. If you want to wrap up the story and earn some exclusive rewards, though, then you need to reach Resort Rank Five. This rank has you focusing on earning points and facing off against Hook in a final battle. In the guide below, we go over how to reach Rank Five at the Dondoko Island Resort in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Resort Rank Five grants Ichiban special rewards and wraps up the Dondoko Island story.

How to Reach Resort Rank Five - Dondoko Island

Resort Rank Five is the final rank of Dondoko Island, and in many ways, it is much easier to reach than the other ranks. All the areas are already unlocked, so you just need to focus on raising your satisfaction and popularity points and then going to the final fight with Dread Pirate Hook. Depending on how you have set up your island, reaching Rank Five can go much faster than the previous Ranks.

Next Star Requirements

Requirement How to Reach
Satisfaction Points Earn 43,000 Points
Popularity Points Earn 13,000 Points
Defeat Dread Pirate Hook Defeat Hook and his pirates at the beach.

The strategy is the same as before: keep putting down buildings to buff both points. You will also want to focus on mass gathering collectibles as you should be getting into the higher popularity ranks that grant 100 to 200 popularity points depending on that collectible’s level. In addition, now that you don’t have to pay to clean new areas, you can spend some of your money to buy furniture you already made, but this can quickly become quite pricey. How to Defeat Dread Pirate Hook on Dondoko Island

Once you reach both point goals, you can speak with Matayoshi. You will be given three Hell Stews to heal you up. Please note that these can’t be used in battle. Once you are ready to fight Hook, go to Dondoko Beach. You will see a ship in the water and speak with the pirates to begin the battle. Before doing so, though, we highly recommend you fill your house up with furniture to get as many hearts as possible, as you will be fighting the entire crew. This includes every enemy you have faced previously, some of which have multiples in the fight.

(1 of 3) After you reach your point goals, speak with Matayoshi to unlock the final fight.

The strategy here is to try and knock out the smaller enemies first and then work your way up. It’s best to run away to split the group up and then work on hitting the pirates closest to you before rolling away. You will need to continue this several times until it’s just you and Hook left, who seems to take around nine hits to defeat. If you defeat Hook early, you will still need to defeat the rest of the enemies. Once they are all removed, a cutscene will play, and you will reach Resort Rank Five.

What Unlocks at Resort Rank Five?

Resort Rank Five wraps up the Dondoko storyline. For getting this far, you will get two costumes, the Normal Outfit and Casino Attire. Ichiban will also receive a special new move, the Essence of Dondoko Beam. This move costs 100 MP to use but hits all enemies with an incredibly powerful attack. Finally, you will be given 1,000,000 million Dokobucks and $300,000 to use back on the mainland. Two special quests will also unlock over the next few days to give the Dondoko Island crew just a bit more time in the spotlight.
