In The Beginning

By
Jarrod Garripoli

The game starts with CJ, the main character, in an airport. He is headed back home after he receives a phone call that his mother has been killed. As he takes a cab back, he is stopped by some police officers. These three corrupt offices are named Tenpenny, Pulaski, and Hernandez. They “bust” you for some drug money and force you into their patrol vehicle. While inside, they frame you for another officer’s murder and end up dumping you out in a rival gang’s, the Ballas, territory. You have no weapons and only $350 to your name, so you will need to hurry out of danger and get back to your home.

(1 of 2) Get on the BMX bike in front of you when you have control

Get on the BMX bike in front of you when you have control (left), Follow the new GPS feature to reach your home (right)

Once you regain control, head towards the BMX bike ahead of you and press the Triangle button to get on it. The X button will accelerate while you’re on the bike, and the Square button will be your brake. The vehicles you will be driving in San Andreas all have a skill level and of course, your skill level at the beginning of the game is at nothing. As you drive around on/in a vehicle, like the bike for example, you will eventually get better and your handling will improve. For now, navigate the streets and the map until you get “CJ” icon on your map, which will be your house. Enter the red marker there to finish the prologue and begin the first true mission of the game.
