Part 1: Pigeon Challenge¶

You’ll begin this mission at the Farmer’s Market in Little Tokyo and the first part is fairly simple. We need to use the traps in the area and your Flaming Compensator to kill 500 pigeons in 2 minutes. This sounds simple enough, but it took me quite a few tries to get right!

There are four Pyro Geyser Traps in the centre of the road and several Grind Cooker Traps along the railings. The Geysers, you’ll remember require you to jump onto the green button in the centre to activate and have a short cooldown afterwards. The Grind Cooker Traps on the other hand will shoot fire off to the sides as you grind along the top of them.

To successfully complete the pigeon challenge, you’ll need to use the wires strung across the top of the street. When you see pigeons gather at one of the Pyro Geyser traps, jump down onto it to toast as many as possible, then quickly bounce back up to the wires and use the next trap. If pigeons are gathered around a Pyro Geyser trap that is still on cooldown, use the grind Cooker traps to get as many pigeons as possible until the other re-activates. So yeah, keep moving and toasting and although it will likely take you a few goes, you’ll eventually get it!

Part 2: Escort¶

Pretty much immediately following successful completion of the pigeon challenge, or friends will take off and we need to escort them back to the Fargathia base.

On your way to the destination you will have to defeat enemies at four different points. When you arrive at each, you’ll see a yellow mission area zone marked on the mini-map and you will need to eliminate all of the hostiles in that area before you can proceed. The enemies that you encounter along the way are as follows:

• The first encounter includes around 5-6 regular Scabs armed with guns.
• A little further down the road, at the raised bridge you will fight a group of Rushers and Tossers.
• The third enemy encounter consists of 4-5 Regular OD and a Herker. Your friends will help you out a little, but you’ll still want to use the various environs to keep away from the big fellow here!
• The final encounter takes place at a gas station and you will need to clear it of a large Scab presence. There are a healthy number of regular Scabs, several Rushers and Tossers hanging out on the roof.

Once you have mopped up all of the enemies at the gas station, run over to the nearby objective marker to complete the mission.

That was a lot of pigeons.
