There is a plethora of Collectibles littered throughout all of the districts of Sunset City and they come in a number of different forms. Sunset Overdrive is fairly unique in that in addition to working towards achievements for finding them all, the collectibles can also be used as a form of in-game currency to purchase new Amps from Floyd at one of your forts, some of which can be mighty useful!

Most of the collectibles in the game are fairly easy to spot, the difficult part is maintaining interest in gathering them all due to the sheer quantity of them. This collectible locations guide will give you a brief description of each type of collectible, a brief intro on how and what they are used for.

The different collectibles include:

Smartphones (40)

Smartphones are usually found out in the open, most often in doorways or inside some of the buildings you can enter. They are quite small so can be hard to spot if you are not actively looking for them. In addition to working toward an achievement, finding the Smartphones will unlock some messages in your Log menu, giving you a bit of insight as to what else is going on in the city.

As you are required to find a Smart Phone before being able to purchase a map with their locations, note that there are some easy to find ones - most notably inside the Oxford’s Base and behind the King’s throne in Fargathia.

Easy smartphones to find include those located inside the Oxford’s Base (left) and the Fargathian base (right)

Tagging Billboards (40)

As with the Smartphones, there are 40 vacant billboards located in Sunset City and you can identify them by the white message on front saying ‘Your advertisement here’. They are usually found on top of high structures although, there are several at ground level as well, particularly in the Downtown district. Finding and tagging all 40 of these will earn you the achievement – ‘It’s Art, OK?’. Maps for each of the four districts with the location of every billboard can be purchased from Two Hat Jack.

As you are required to find a billboard before being able to purchase a map with their locations, note that there are some easy to find ones - most notably there is one on the roof two buildings to the west of the Crown Blades Factory fast travel point and another to the north almost directly across the street from the Las Catrinas base.

An easy, early on billboard can be found on a rooftop just to the west of the Crown Blades Factory (right).

High Points (20)

There are 20 high points in the game and they appear as binoculars on pedestals that we can use to look at specific things in the city. They are usually found on top of high structures although, despite being called high points, there are one or two that do appear on docks and other places at ground level, just to confuse us! Finding and utilising all 20 of these will earn you the achievement – ’Explorer’. Maps for each of the four districts with the location of all of every Camera can be purchased from Two Hat Jack.

As you are required to find a High Point before being able to purchase a map with their locations, note that there are some easy to find ones - most notably there is one in the Brewery base, at the very top of the tower with the spiral grind rail leading to the top.

An easy high point can be found within your base in the Old Factory District - the Brewery (right).

Eavesdropping (9)

There 9 eavesdropping locations scattered around Sunset City and they appear as small, white computer panels with a green light. They are usually found at ground level. Finding and utilising these will allow you to listen in on a humorous conversation between some of the characters we have met in the game. Listening to all 9 of these will earn you the achievement – ‘Wire Tapping’. Maps for each of the four districts with the location of every Eavesdrop location can be purchased from Two Hat Jack.

As you are required to find a one of these before being able to purchase a map with their locations, note that there are some easy to find ones - most notably there is one located within the Crown Blades Factory, sitting right next to the door where we first met Sam in the ‘A New Friend’ mission.

You can find an early eavesdropping computer panel within the Crown Blades Factory (right).

Fizzie Balloons (150)

Fizzie Balloons always appear floating high above objects that can be used for bouncing. They appear as a miniature version of the Fizzie mascot. Finding and collecting all 150 of these will earn you an achievement – ‘Hot Air’. Maps for each of the four districts with the location of every Fizzie balloon can be purchased from Two Hat Jack.

Note: there is actually a mission to find and collect three of these early on in the game.

The ‘Amp it Up’ mission has you collecting Fizzie Balloons.

Toilet Paper (150)

There are 150 pieces of toilet paper around Sunset City (well probably more inside buildings, but well, those aren’t counted) and the collectible variety are always wrapped around objects that you can swing from, most frequently street lights. To collect them, you need to swing from the object they are attached to. Finding and collecting all 150 of these will earn you an achievement – ‘Litter’. Maps for each of the four districts with the location of all the toilet paper can be purchased from Two Hat Jack.

Toilet paper is strewn all over the city, but you’ll usually find it hanging from street lamps.

Overcharge Signs (150)

There are 150 orange neon Overcharge Signs located around and they are located on the side of buildings or high up on walls. To collect them, you must wallrun along the surface they are on and straight through them. Finding and collecting all 150 of these will earn you an achievement – ‘Whats Your Sign?’. Maps for each of the four districts with the locations of all the Overcharge signs can be purchased from Two Hat Jack.

Shoes on Wires (150)

Security Cameras (150)

Security Cameras are usually located along the edge of rooftops, on power poles or high up on walls and can be identified quickly by the red light they emit. To be collected, these need to be destroyed either by a melee attack or by shooting them. Finding and destroying all 150 of these will earn you an achievement – ‘Big Brother’.
