How to Make Gruel in Conan Exiles¶
Gruel is a simple dish that you can start making as soon as you have a 
Campfire. You simply need to place five Plants Fibers and a single Seed in the fire to make Gruel. This is one of the cheapest recipes in the game and can easily be mass-produced from the very start of your playthrough. You should keep in mind the Gruel is pretty useless when used with your character, though, and that it will spoil as it has a fresh time of one hour and twenty minutes.
What Is Gruel Used for in Conan Exiles?¶
Gruel is only able to restore three points of health to your character, and this is done over the course of three seconds. It also only counts for nine hunger and four thirst. Due to this, it’s best used for Thralls, who don’t have to eat, but feeding them will give them buffs as they level. As Gruel is the cheapest and quickest food to make, it’s the best Thrall food in the game for warriors as it gives a strength boost. You will need to give the Gruel to your Thralls to get them to eat it or place it in a Thrall Pot. If you are looking to automate your feeding process, then the Thrall Pot can help by automatically serving your Thrall food as long as you place it inside. The main draw of Gruel crafting recipes is the different types of Fodder that can be fed to your pets. Fodders can be used for a variety of different effects, like Wartorn Fodder being able to change the color of your pet. The Flavored and Enhanced Gruels have a better healing effect, so if you have some extra ingredients lying around, it may be worth making them. Outside of this, there isn’t much of a use for Gruel.
