Conan Exiles

Thunderfoot Location and Boss Strategy - Conan Exiles

By
Jessica Dillon

"Thunderfoot" iconThunderfoot is one of the many legendary creatures in Conan Exiles that can be defeated for rare loot. You can find this boss wandering around in the Savannah area of the Exiled Lands. Defeating him is no easy task either, as he is a large enemy with a lot of health. The guide below goes over exactly where you can find Thunderfoot wandering around and how to defeat him.

Thunderfoot is a large elephant that will attack the player on sight.

Thunderfoot Location

Thunderfoot is an elephant and one of the legendary creature that can be found in the Savannah of the Exiled Lands. He is a large elephant with four tusks, making him stand out from the rest of the herd. He can usually be found wandering around section 7H or 7G of the map in the [Savannah](https://www.gamerguides.com/conan-exiles/maps/conan-exiles-map-the-exiled-lands#36473 “Savannah’’) area. He is an aggressive creature, and once you are in range, he will begin to attack you. Use caution, as there are other predators in this area that will attack you, and you don’t want to bring them into the fight. Currently, Thunderfoot does not exist on the Isle of Siptah map.

Thunderfoot Stats and Boss Strategy

Thunderfoot can take quite a while to take down, as he has a whopping 18,372 health plus 84 armor for defense. Close-range combat is nearly impossible as Thunderfoot is a stomping attack, a move where he rears up to slam down his front to legs, and a move where he moves his head from side to side. If you are hit by his head movements, you will be knocked down a left defenseless against the elephant’s rage. His fourth move is a trample-style attack where he will charge for a short distance. To make matters worthwhile, the other animals in the area, such as the "Tiger" iconTigers, tend to get involved in the fight.

If they are aggroed to Thunderfoot, then they will likely help you with taking down the boss. In most cases, Thunderfoot will end up killing these enemies, especially if they jump into the fight early on. If they aggro towards your character, then you will need to deal with them as quickly as possible. A solid strategy for taking down Thunderfoot itself is by using arrows. Poison arrows are especially useful at chipping off some extra health from the boss. If you want things to go a bit faster, then bring an Archer Thrall with you to chip away at the boss’s health.

(1 of 3) Be sure to keep a safe distance from Thunderfoot when he rears up.

If you do decide to take the legendary creature on using short-range weapons, then you will need to dodge a lot. Most of the fight will be spent waiting for an opening to run in and swing at the elephant and then quickly retreating to get out of his range of attack. Once you do manage to defeat him, you can harvest his body using a tool to get "Exotic Flesh" iconExotic Flesh, Elephant Hide, "Ivory" iconIvory, Skeleton Key, "Thick Hide" iconThick Hide, and "Tusks" iconTusks. "Skeleton" iconSkeleton Keys can now be used inside of dungeons to unlock Legendary Chest. A Legendary Chest no longer spawns when you defeat most overworld bosses. They have all moved into dungeons.
