Snake Locations and Uses - Conan Exiles

By
Jessica Dillon

Snakes are easy to get in Conan Exiles, provided you know where to find their eggs. Sadly, the eggs themselves are small, and with such a huge map, finding them is nothing short of brutal at times in both the Exiled Land and on the Isle of Siptah. The guide below goes over where to find Snake Eggs, the different types of Cobras, their stats, and how to get a Giant Snake.

Snake Eggs are small and usually laid against rocks and cliffs making them a bit hidden.

Snakes Stats and Growth

Getting a snake is a bit confusing as many players will be looking for one of the Giant Snakes to have a baby or a nest. In reality, though, Giant Snakes are DLC pets, while the normal snake that you can actually get through normal gameplay is the "Cobra" iconCobra. Cobras don’t have Cobra Hatchlings following them around either, so you will need to find their eggs to get one. This is a daunting task as the nests are extremely small, and the adult Cobras often aren’t guarding them. You should still be cautious when in an area with eggs, as Cobras are quick and can inflict poison.

Once you do get a Snake Egg, you will need to wait for it to hatch in your inventory. This happens when the decay timer runs out. After this, you will have a Cobra Hatchling in your inventory. When you are ready to turn them into a pet, place the hatchling in your Animal Pen along with some meat to start the taming process. There are two different varieties of Cobra that you can get. One being the standard Cobra and the other being the Cobra Alpha. The table below contains the stat for each Cobra variant.

Cobra Variant Armor Damage Health Grit Armor Bonus Vitality Health Bonus
Cobra 350 0 42 0 0
Cobra Alpha 418 0 51 9 68

The chance of getting the Cobra Alpha varies based on what type of meat you feed your Cobra Hatchling. For the Highest chance of getting a Cobra Alpha, place several of the Shadespiced Perfect Cut of Meat in the Animal Pen. This gives you a 30% chance of spawning the Cobra Alpha. Both types of Cobras come with ten inventory slots. The standard Cobra has a max strength bonus of 7%, while the Cobra Alpha has a max strength bonus of 52%. Like all pets, the Cobra can level up to level 20, but the stats and attributes they can gain are left up to RNG. You can also place food in their inventories to help give small boosts to their stats.

Cobras aren’t great as traveling companions as they are quite weak in comparison to other pets. When it comes to guarding your base, especially if you place them in single rooms, they can be quite helpful. This is a quick attacker that can inflict poison damage on enemies. If you line a room with Cobras, then invaders will end up with a nasty surprise when they try to raid your base.

How to Get a Giant Snake

You have likely seen the giant snakes located in the Exiled Lands and on Siptah. There is no way to get this pet variety unless you got the Sorcerous Pet Food from the Age of War: Chapter 2 Battle Pass. This food could be fed to a Cobra to get the "Giant Snake" iconGiant Snake, Giant Snake Alpha, or the Greater Giant Snake.

Snake Egg Locations Exiled Lands

Finding "Snake Egg" iconSnake Eggs is a frustrating task as they are small and easy to miss, and the adult Cobras aren’t always near them. With that being said, they are quite common to find once you know where to look. They are always against a rock or tucked beside of a cliff. This can make them hard to find as some of them are hidden from sight until you are right next to them. If you are looking for a Cobra, then use the table below to help you track down three easy spots to get Snake Eggs.

Snake Egg Locations Isle of Siptah

The Isle of Siptah also has Snake Eggs, but you can only find them in three locations. These locations are all snake-related ruins and can be found in different parts of the map. Use the table below to easily see where each Snake Egg nest is located.
