!Conan Exiles is the game that keeps on giving. Even years after launch, the developers are adding new expansions to the experience that not only put your skills to the test with dungeon-like areas but also adding new resources/materials for you to go out on the hunt for.
In Chapter 3, The Age of Sorcery, items called 
Blood Crystal were introduced and are a key pickup for this season’s content. Naturally, you’re going to want to know how to get 
Blood 
Crystals to make the most of this expansion, but you’re not exactly given much information.
Luckily for you, we’ve done the hard work and scoured The Exiled Lands for Blood Crystal locations and we’ll be providing all we know right here.
What Are Blood Crystals in Conan Exiles?¶
So, we’ve touched on the fact that Conan Exiles Blood Crystals are an important item to scoop up, but why is that? Well, the reason is twofold.
First, you’re going to need to collect Blood Crystals to actually access the new dungeon area since they are a required item to ignite the entrance portal. While this might seem a little annoying, in our experience, we believe that it’s nice to get a bit of exploring going before being able to jump instantly into the more end-chapter content.
Secondly, Blood Crystals are also vital for creating Golems, another new introduction to The Age of Sorcery. These Golems allow for the heat to be taken off you a little when battling as they can essentially be your tank, absorbing damage as well as dealing damage, ensuring you don’t fall. Moreover, you can use Golems as storage companions so you’re able to offload a bunch of your collected resources onto them while on long trips to essentially make your inventory space massive.
Blood Crystals are also vital in creating certain weapons such as the Blood Crystal Mace as well as the Kurak armor set, so keep that in mind if you want to try these out.
Where to Find Blood Crystals in Conan Exiles¶
Now you’ve made it to the juicy part - how to get Blood Crystal in Conan Exiles - so you too can access all of the above content.
From the Blood Crystal name, you may have been under the assumption that this is another resource that could be mined, maybe from inside caves or simply under the surface. Sadly though it’s a little more complicated than that, as they are in fact not an ore of any form.
Instead, Blood Crystals are a drop that you can only get from special enemies. These enemies are the 
Blood Crystal Golem and 
Blood Crystal Rocknose, and if you haven’t seen one on your travels yet there is a specific reason why.
A Blood Crystal Rocknose in Conan Exiles
Both of these enemies are actually located throughout The Exiled Lands map but they dwell below the surface. The only way you can get them to pop out is to get close to them. But, if you don’t know where they reside, it’s almost like finding a needle in a haystack.
There is one vital thing that can help you there though and that’s learning the Detect Resources spell. If you have access to this ability and use it, you will be able to see both of the above enemies under the surface, highlighted in red. All you then need to do is simply get close, kill them, and hack away at their corpse to collect your Blood Crystals.

The number of Blood Crystals you get per corpse certainly varies so to maximize your Blood Crystal farm, use as high a quality Pick as possible to ensure you’re not having any wastage.
