Warhammer 40000: Darktide

Darktide Curios Guide: Perks & Blessings, Crafitng, Unlocks & More

By
Craig Robinson

Curios are an important part of Daktide’s gearing process. These things grant every character that equips once some decent character stat bonus, whether it is making you faster, more efficient recovery, tankier, more durable, or other character stat aspects of the game. These will be important to get as you progress through the game. As you level up, you will get more access to them and continue to roll for better curios, or loot them for various sources. In this guide, we will cover everything you need to know on Darktide’s Curios, with the page beginning on how to get them, followed by their crafting and rarity, then followed by the blessing and stats you can get your hands on.

Here is a look into everything you need to know about Curios in Darktide.

How to get Curios in Darktide

Curios are often found by simply playing the game. These items come from the armory store, the Sire Melks daily shop changes from the weekly currency, and Emperor’s Gifts. The quality of the curios are largely random, with a range of white, green, blue, purple, and yellow quality items popping up in each of these sections.

Note that the Emperor’s Gift is the lowest chance, but there are curios out there that can award better chances at getting Curios from Emperor’s Gifts.

Players can upgrade their curios at the crafting station if they fancy getting better quality Curios through more deterministic ways. Curio upgrades cost the following amounts:

  • White to green: 150 Plasteel
  • Green to Blue: 50 Diamantine, 200 Plasteel
  • Blue to Purple: 150 Diamantine, 400 Plasteel
  • Purple to Yellow: 350 Diamantine, 900 Plasteel

Also, note there are many different named and icons of Curios. However, we have yet to be able to tell if there a notable difference between each of the named ones. They seem to do similar things, so maybe its just a role play thing? If you have any idea, feel free to let us know in the comments at the bottom of the page.

Curio stats, perks and blessings

Like your weapons in Darktide, Curios also have their own ratings, stats, blessings and perks too. The better blessings and perks you get, and the more of them you get, will raise the rating level. It seems like one perk is worth at minimum ten rating, while the higher the percentage of the blessings and the perks themes will further raise the rating of the Curio, depending on the value of the percentages you get.

There also seems to be a general theme that the higher the base rating of the Curio, the better statistics the blessings and perks will be, though. It’s not always a guarantee; rather, a trend, as some lower curios can have higher stats on them than blue and purple qualities. It’s something that players will likely want to re-bless and refine when those crafting features are available to players.

Players will also gain the amount of perks and blessing quality, depending on the curio’s quality.

  • Yellow Quality: One blessing, three perks
  • Purple Quality: One Blessing, two perks
  • Blue Quality: One blessing, one perk
  • Gree Quality: One blessing

Curio Blessing and Perks List

The Curio blessings and perks list are similar to weapon perks. You’ll normally find a blessing on a Curio is rather large percentage of a perk stat, while perks feature range of character stat bonuses, such as a wounds, or some form of stat or recovery growth. You can also get stats that make grinding the game easier, such as percentage experience gain, Ordo Dockets, chance to get Curio Rewards and other silly things. Here’s a list with a better idea of what to expect from the perks:

  • Stamina
  • Stamina Recovery
  • Toughness
  • Toughness Recovery
  • Toughness damage Reduction
  • Sprint Speed
  • Sprint Recovery
  • Block recovery
  • Max Health
  • Experience gained
  • Change to get Curio as a reward instead of a weapon luck increase
  • Damage resistance to enemies
  • Corruption Resistance
  • Cooldown reduction

If we find any more, we will add it to the list.

Moreso, the percentages on these perks can vary. You will typically find the typical percentage averages range from 4% to 10% for the majority of the reduction or stat improvements. The more niche stats like the experience, dockets, and cooldown stuff tend to be much lower percentages, typically around the 2-5% percent area. However, this is from our own personal experience, and the value ranges can be much higher. It’s hard to tell without 1000 hours in the game or being a developer.

Blessings , on the other hand, appear to be more controllable, these blessings tend to be either max HP, one wound, toughness or maximum stamina. The range of your reward can vary between 1-3 stamina, depending on the quality, 10-20% hp, depending on quality and luck, and 10-25% toughness, once again depending on luck and quality of the curio. There’s a chance you can get higher, but this is just from what we have seen in our gameplay sessions.

We will once again update this page when we are more certain on our estimations. Once again, if you have more concrete ideas of what these range values are, feel free to share.
