Very quickly, as you complete missions and rise through the ranks in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide you will gather an enormous amount of primary and secondary weapons, many of which will quickly become obsolete as you outgrow their usefulness and acquire much better, and more advanced arsenal. But can you get rid of the ones you no longer want or need - there is no obvious way to sell them at the Armorer, so are you stuck with an ever-growing list to scroll through every time you want to switch up your inventory?
How To Sell Weapons In Darktide¶
The good news is that yes, you can rid yourself of guns, swords, and axes you no longer require, and the even better news is that you will receive some useful cash back at the same time.
While common sense suggests that you should only be able to sell these at the weapons shop, you can actually get rid of them anywhere by simply discarding them,
Head into your inventory and select either of your two main weapons and this will bring up a list of the weapons you currently own. Now click on the one you no longer need and a DISCARD option will appear at the bottom of the screen. Simply hit the button and hold it for a few seconds and the weapon will vanish from your inventory and you will get some cash back for your troubles.
It is slightly annoying, and part of the “no sale option” in the game that you perhaps do not know how much cash you will get for each weapon in advance, so you cannot choose, say, between two to see which will bring you more money in.
The process is slightly illogical, if simple enough to carry out, but it’s easily missed. This may well get corrected and added to the shop further down the line, but for the Beta at least, this is the procedure you need to follow.
And make sure you don’t select the wrong weapon either, as once it is gone, it is gone for good. There are no confirmation dialog boxes, other than the long press of the keybind.
If you hold on to a lot of your starter weapons near the beginning and sell them all at ones you can get a sizeable cash injection in one go. It will not be close to what you spent on the weapons originally but as you are unlikely to use them again you may as well get what little benefit you can from shipping them on.
