Accessed via Route 12, this mountainous area is where the Geothermal Power Plant is sited. To begin with, follow the path north-west. Up ahead, there’s a rather dubious fellow trying to challenge passersby. If you’re not interested, go through the tall grass behind him.

Office Worker Shane

Pokémon Level Type
"Electrike" IconElectrike 32 Electric
"Electabuzz" IconElectabuzz 32 Electric

Two Electric-types that have yet to fully evolve. Ground-types will finish this battle with ease, while Grass-types are also a solid choice if fighting defensively.

Either way, search the very center of the tall grass behind Shane to discover a hidden Zinc. Next, make your way west towards another patch of tall grass. Step into the grass and head for the westernmost corner where no grass has grown. Over here, there’s a rare Sun Stone that you shouldn’t leave behind.

From here, head directly north from the Sun Stone towards the red truck. Near the front of the truck, there’s a Timer Ball on the ground that’s hard to see from some angles. Just above, there’s a large metal fence blocking further access. Although, if you get close to where the fence meets the drum barrels, you can find a Photo Spot.

Moving on, head east towards the entrance of the visitor’s center. Before going inside, focus your attention on the small boulder to the left of the sliding door. Have your old chum "Tauros" IconTauros plough straight through the boulder, to reveal Totem Sticker #064. Now go inside the door before you cause some real damage.

Inside, head north-west towards the man in the white coat staring at the pie chart poster. Speak to him and he’ll tell you to return tomorrow. Do so and you’ll receive TM63 Embargo. Next, go west towards the TV area. On the wall to the right of the TV is Totem Sticker #065 if you can take your eyes off the TV.

Finally, go over to the south-west corner to find Professor Oak’s Alolan form. Speak to him and he’ll give you a Lure Ball. This also happens to be the last Kurt’s ball that you can obtain from him. That’s everything you can do in this area. Once you’re ready to continue, exit back to Route 12.
