Watch the skit The Voice of Muzet’s Spirit (1) and then enter the Cavern straight ahead to get the Iron Leggings and 8400 Gald inside.
Return outside to climb the ledges to the north and then head up the vines twice. You’ll notice that the vine that leads to the summit of Bermia Gorge is blocked with a boulder, forcing you to climb up to the peak yourself.
Head straight and jump off the ledge to the south for 7900 Gald and then climb the vines back up and take the path over the ledges. Drop down on the other side of the ledges and circle around the center to get the Treat on the other side and then zone to the South Region.
Follow the path to the vine leading up, but instead of climbing check the ledge to the right to spot a treasure below and drop down to get a Mythril Cloak . Make your way back up to the vines and this time climb up to make your way to the Northwest Region. Head west around the center of the area to grab a Wind Cape and then continue to the around, but instead of zoning climb up to the central area to find the boss.
Boss: Vaioplume
Weakness: Earth, Slash
Both Ludger and Gaius can exploit the weakness on this flying boss and if done properly you can keep the enemy staggered for a good percentage of the time. Depending on your fourth party member you may want to set their artes to earth-based attacks to continue to exploit the harpy’s weakness.
The boss itself is not very deadly, but its ability to teleport away can make it very annoying to get a decent chain going. Watch out for Shimmering Toll and the status ailment attacks that the enemy performs and you shouldn’t have too much of a problem managing the healing if you set Muzet to prioritize healing.
The group will automatically meet up in Nia Khera, where the gifts don’t go over so well as you’d have hoped… but at least Gaius looks pretty with one in his hair.
