The Truth About the Temporal Crossroads |
Watch the skit The Truth About the Temporal Crossroads and then make your way through the crossroads.
There are four unique enemies in this area, similar to the way it was in the first game. If you plan to get your Enemy Book 100% complete you’ll want to make sure you engage in battle and get all four elemental type enemies.
When you reach the final level you will see some white portal, each giving you the maximum of a certain Gel… so make sure to stockpile them for the upcoming fight. The blue stream leads down to the heart of the Temporal Crossroads, a place you will likely remember well from the first game… and the individual that inhabits this domain is the very same as it was before.
Boss: Maxwell (Fractured)
Weakness: All
This fight is similar to the one in the first game, with Maxwell shifting elements throughout the battle. This means that you will either want to use a non-element weapon or change you equipped weapons during the battle to maximize your damage. Aerial attacks are the best against Maxwell, who is weak to attacks to his core body rather than his tail, and although he is a big boss his attacks are not particularly deadly. Watch out for when Maxwell goes into Over Limit to avoid his massive aoe attack and you should be fine.
After the fight Milla demands the answers of the origins of her name, Milla Kresnik, the Kresnik clan, and the events that lead to Origin’s Trials.
Before you can learn everything you want to know and alert Maxwell to the error of his ways, the catalyst of this fractured dimension makes an appearance.
Boss: Muzet (Catalyst)
Weakness: Light
Unlike the previous fight with Muzet, this catalyst has the power of The Four and uses them the same way the Milla herself does. Most of Muzet’s attacks will hit multiple targets and cause nasty status ailments, so make sure to avoid them when possible and have your healer focus on curing these. It’s best to equip the Zeus Crusher (Light) and switch between Swallow Flight to juggle Muzet and Hungry Hunter to knock her over. This will limit the amount of damage she can actually do to the party, but watch out for her Over Limit.
After the fight the group will return to Hamil and discuss what they have learned and look forward to a brighter future.
